First Quarter:
The Heat looked more comfortable to start this one with Jovic and Bam both getting on the board early. Jovic looked phenomenal early sinking two threes, and showing no evidence of the back spasms that landed him on the injury report to start the game.
The first quarter was very much a back-and-forth chess match early on as both teams felt each other out. Still, Miami struggled to guard the three letting Jason Tatum spark a small run to take the lead. Miami’s offense also looked clunk as they turned the ball often on desperation plays, but with Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. getting going Miami was able to take the lead.
Duncan saw minutes in the first showing flashes of what made him such a threat this season. The Heat were also exceptional from three going 8-13 from deep to stay ahead and quiet the Boston crowd.
Boston would pull back with Tatum hitting a tough look, and sinking some literal last-second free throws to end the quarter. The Heat stayed ahead by one.
Second Quarter:
The Celtics took the lead to start the second off a Hauser three and would pad it with three-point buckets from Jrue Holiday and Al Horford. Still, the Heat showed grit with Jaquez continuing to anchor the offense, but as a team struggled to score consistently falling behind by five. Miami was also undisciplined on defense accumulating fouls quickly (even if some calls were questionable). Boston’s defense was exceptional as they practically eliminated Tyler Herro, and showcased adjustments (Tatum pressuring the hell out of Delon Wright after his five-three outing on Sunday). It was Caleb Martin who’d step up offensively, along with some key scores from Bam Adebayo to steal the lead once again.
Miami was aggressive defensively switching fluidly from zone to man-to-man and limiting options for Boston, but they still managed to keep it close. Tyler and Delon showed signs of life to end the half, but two Jaylen Brown threes suddenly put the Heat behind by four. A Herro three would silence the erupting TD Garden, but a Brown steal would make that shortlived. Even after an exceptional first half, the Heat found itself down three – but very much in the fight.
Third Quarter:
Jovic kept Miami rolling from three to start the third, tying things up once again – but Boston continued to punch back. Luckily for Miami, Bam continued his exceptional play on offense in the paint. The Heat was also able to discombobulate the Celtics on defense multiple times early, forcing Joe Mazzulla to take time out. Just like that Herro was 5-7 from three with 15 points, being selective with his looks and playmaking very well. Add on the fact that Caleb Martin was being fueled by boos, and hate chants and the Heat were right where they like to be.
Miami looked to step on the gas, with Bam slamming an alley-oop and Tyler sinking another three while limiting the Celtics offensively. They did just that getting up by 10 on a 15-3 run and showing zero intentions of slowing down. Hauser would stop the drought for Boston allowing them to generate a 7-0 run of their own. They’d pick things up on defense limiting Miami slightly, but Duncan would come through with a big three to maintain Miami’s lead. The Heat would enter the fourth quarter up by six.
Fourth Quarter:
Miami continued to play strong defense to start the fourth as they forced turnovers and refused to give up easy buckets. Still, Miami’s offense looked a bit stagnant but it was Delon Wright who’d get the Heat back on track. The Celtics stayed within striking distance, but Bam hit some tough midrange jumpers on the other end to keep Miami ahead. The Celtics started to attack the rim and found success, but Haywood Highsmith and Jaime Jaquez Jr. would answer back with two threes to make those points moot.
Bam continued to feast in the midrange, and with Caleb and Tyler hitting some huge buckets the Heat extended the lead to 11. With under two minutes to go Boston would pressure, but the Heat maintained its composure, killing the clock and making good decisions en route to an incredible win.
Game 3 Heat vs Celtics
What I expect from the Cs.
1. Hybrid offense, i.e 70% shooting 3s and 30% drives to the paint.
2. Drives to the paint will serve 2 purposes. (I) Attempt to put Heat on early foul trouble thus weaken their aggressive defense. (II) serve as misdirection, to draw less attention to the Cs three point shooters.
3. Expect the Cs to be more aggressive on the boards on both ends of the court.
4. Expect Porzingis to play more inside than on the periphery when he is on the court.
5. Expect Bam and Herro to see occasional double teams.
Be interesting to see how the Heat respond to these scheme of the Cs.
I also believe that they will use jayson more in mid post iso action since that was working for them in Game 2. Jayson has a solid jumper, strength and middle of the floor driving game that punishes mismatches and thank god the celtics didnt use it much last time.hopefully Spo notices it and figure out a strategy.
on the number four, Miami’s strategy seems to be working in limiting Porzingis inside, they battled him for the position and fough him to deny him the ball or they made it physical to push out KP and force out a further catch,KP seems to like scoring over the top and the Heat forced him to make long 2s
kps a jump shooter doesnt seem to score much from inside
Super teams are on the brink of getting booted out this first rnd, some might even be via sweep. Again, it goes to show its not an assurance for immediate and outright success when a team gets a top player. Even getting two of them. You have to have a good system that fits the skills, strengths of the players that you got or your scouting. You can add getting top lottery picks several times, still not a guarantee. System, discipline, commitment, riley, spoelstra, haha! culture… those are good qualities that can give a team a better chance of competing at a high level.
None of these teams are elite level.
Suns lost: Down 0-3
Starters: O’Neale 0/5/2, Nurkic 3/7/1
Clippers lost: Down 2-1
Starters: George 7/5/5, Leonard 9/9/2, Mann 2/3/2
Bench: Westbrook 1/3/1
Bucks Lost: Down 2-1
Bench: 6 points total
Lakers Lost: Down 0-3
Starters: Hachimura 5/2/1, Russell 0/3/2
Bench: 19 points total
Knicks lost – Up 2-1
Cavs lost: Up 2-1
Only OKC, Denver and Minnesota at 3-0 are playing at elite level!
Boston vs Miami winner level TBD!
GO HEAT!!!
Only on paper. Suns and Milw “won” the off-season. While Heat apparently lost that but they’re very much alive and kicking now.
I am not sure of the “kicking” part after 2 games.
KD: hmmm…next target, Minnesota 😆
joker doing commercials now lol
anthony edwards the best player under 6 5?
I’ll wait for the result of Wolves-Suns looks like Clipps going down 1-2.
old jimmy butler type team manila
luka 7 for 24 and dallas up by 15 2 mins left.thats a gm earning his $$$.pats been great for us but does father time hit gms to
yeah, Dallas gm earning his money by getting to the wcf multiple times and the finals multiple times, and winning how many championships? Right, NONE!
this is a diff dallas team rc they got great interior d with 2 elite scorers
Yes, a guy who was a #3 pick and one who was a #1 pick. In the last 15 years, our highest draft pick was Winslow at #10 (yeah yeah Booker 20-20 hindsight). Blame Riley for not tanking.
I don’t see Dallas having a great defense. They were 17th out of 30, Heat were 5th.
rc they do they picked up gafford pj wash trade deadline that changed their team
Do you think they’re going to win a championship this year? First, let’s see if they get out of the first round and if so, if they get out of the second round. Don’t really see that.
they got a chance rc.minn has a chance.denv favorite.
I like OKC more than Dallas or Minnesota. Of course Denver is the favorite.
okc to young gotta pay your dues all young guys maybe in a few years conley kat rudy naz been around the block.they have a great team lots size and athleticism.prob 5 best teams in the west and thrown in lakers
We’ll see
OKC also has a shot to get to wcf. I like that team.
great future once joker slows down theyll be next up
denver all players still in prime.gotta wait till some have father time in them.denver could be the new england patriots of bball
Clippers always injured or always choke. Bucks look like they may not make it out of first round after tanking last game of season to get 3rd seed and avoid Heat or 76ers. I would like to see Heat Butler for Middleton and Portis.
I think we can get more out of that and younger. But season not yet over I’m saving my eulogy and off-season wish-list after Heat has no more games. Officially.
if greek comes back that will change
how bout butler and dunc for josh hart and julius randle
Randle no d. What do you do with Jovic and Jaquez? Where’s the C you been bitchin about? Many questions.
i dont think spos gonna move bam from c sun man,do u?
Only if he can get an athletic two-way C that can shoot 3’s, handle the paint and let Bam menace the entire half court.
westbrooks a punk.clips have 4 father prime time players two of them always suk in playoffs
Whenever I see Gafford play for Dallas, I say why not us? He would have been a nice pickup.
lillard hurt no greek bye buy buckeys
holidays looks like father time has crept into his body not the same player.porzingis 1 step from getting hurt.limited mobility .brown tatum same game all one on one not to many assists.ty plays smart this is winnable

Actually…FAUX NEWS.
His comment explains so much.
Good fight for NY but its 2-1 Thibs running Brunson to the ground. I’m rooting for Philly in this series. But if they get booted out early and Cavs also…Embiid and Mitchel looks good in Heat jersey lol
embid looks great comeon terry strap em up
Meanwhile Cavs got destroyed in Orlando I thought they’re not going to reach 80pts. And NY giving Sixers fits in their court
Tide has turned. Philly closing the 3rd strong
Yep good adjustment
somebody adjusted embids leg

What a glorious day it’s been. I’m still high off that game.
Yeah same here hope Heat can repeat that
This guy (Celtics fan) is pissed about the “Stinky, smelly ass, try hard organization that is the Miami Heat.”… (he’s hilarious)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afSCOG02OHM
Haha, that was funny
So we have two days rest then b2b playoff games? As per espn sked. That’s not just right NBA you have to fix ur sked
the real sked…
Best Celtic blog comment so far.

I fell in love with the C’s when they played and won Game Five in 1976. Followed them ever since
In reply to JohninAustin
Gawd, I hate the Heat. Who are the bully that we can’t shake
But they are the best organization in all of basketball in my opinion over the past five or six years. They find guys who are relatively unsung but who clearly are up to the task of playing under the glare of the playoff lights and don’t fold. They defend from baseline to baseline. They run an extraordinarily complex set of defensive schemes that all of them are able to play in, and they all exert maximum effort. They are unafraid to let a player who I’ve never heard of fire away from long distance during crunch time to win games
I tip my hat to them. I hope that it’s after a series win in which we say “you guys have nothing to be ashamed of and you gave us a hard time” before we move on successfully
I do say this…that player development is going to be a focus for teams going forward. The Maine Celtics seem to be a good young group, this is the right idea. Have good young players playing pretty much the same team concepts, getting the playing experience they’d never be able to get as an 11-15 man on the big team
Dude just explained Heat culture
Yup, well said
maybe mrs hfl and mrs rc can go out to dinner while hfl and rc watch heat game sat at 6
u can bring anybody u want except 2qbn and his mrs but hes prob single guy anyway
Are you kidding? Mrs RC is an absolutely rabid Heat fan! And she always picks out at least one player from the opposing team that she says she hates.
lucky you,you wont have any issues this saturday, let me see if mrs big is avail
I’m having a Sedar so I’m out on Saturday. I’ll tune in Monday for what is hopefully not my last Heat game of the season.
Now the real question, can we get some highlight of who Mrs. Czech hates the most on opposing teams? Celtics? Knicks? Sixers?
Draymond, Jokic, Zion, Durant, Brown, Tatum, so far. Happy Passover!
6pm saturday night fu nba might have to change my name to heat before wife
A thought just occured to me about the game. If Jimmy had played last night, the Heat’s game would have been slowed down considerably. At a slower pace, they would have gotten fewer shots and fewer open 3’s. They would have lost. Bam, Herro, Rozier, Jovic, Jaquez, Martin, Highsmith, Wright, etc. like to run. Butler’s style is an old school half court game. It is incompatible with the team’s younger players. Butler is expendable. The team needs to replace him with a younger, faster paced replacement.
maybe lets see if your saying that next week.
While I’d love to see the team win more games, I can’t predict what may happen. But I fully agree that these games, good and bad, are giving us a glimpse of what the future of the team would resemble without Butler. Keeping in mind that we would have at least 2 additional good players (plus picks), the future could be pretty exciting.
If Herro can consistently rise to that level of play on offense… It changes everything.
If a healthy Butler was playing, he will target the weakest link in the opposite team. He will probably cause Holiday to relieve his past playoff trauma that cause Buck to think Holiday sucks in the playoffs.his game is also adaptable in a way that he will probably do drive and kick plays or what JJJ had been doing and his defense is still above average.
No question we’d have a better overall shot at winning if he was available.
Maybe, maybe not in this single game. Next to Bam, Butler is the best defender and #1 interior scorer. In a full series, you gotta have Butler. He is the alpha and best closer on the court.
does anybody know what terrys injury is,sore necks those things get better pretty fast.is it a cervical spine issue?dr.heat where r u
They’ve referred to it as spasms. Who knows?
come on mickey hire the #1 masseus in miami work on scarys neck.been to long .hes looks the modern day superfly on the bench.definitely cooler looking than ty whos a close second with tys funky hats
I have to say that in his interview with Bam, I thought he distinctly resembled Gilligan.
Lets say something about our players.
-Bam has the best game of the year. Shooting gave him space to operate.
-Ditto for Martin.
-Jovic serves as stretch 4, as Leonard, KO, Babbit did in the past. Besides that he also brings a defense, rebounding and playmaking, all that at 20 years age.
-JJJ is a baby Butler.
-Herro played a smart game, not forcing to much.
All the rest were rock solid.
I m really proud on this team.
Celtics blog sure is entertaining…
LedZeppelin
The Heat are built on solid men that know how to win. The Celtics are built on boys and a coach who run to the corner and pee their gym shorts when the going gets tough. Face the facts, it’s the third year in a row where you will see total humiliation of the playoff Celtics.
Everyone seems to forget the regular season means squat, this is a new season, it’s called the Playoffs, where the Celtics are destined to lose again.
Three tries in a roll or three strikes in a row means, time to make some changes.
So let the naysayers bitch me out, I only see what is reality.
tatum is a great scorer same to lesser extent brown.but a true ss makes other players better neither do that
Excellent comments from everyone! I’m glad we all had something positive to write about. Although our Heat team is down a few key players, the rest of the guys refuse to accept defeat without a fight. I can’t imagine the world of growth Jovic and Jaquez are experiencing right now. By the the time this series is over, win or lose, they will be hardened veterans. All this without Playoff Jimmy, Scary Terry and JRich. Talk about earning “street cred” with the rest of the NBA players. Who wouldn’t want to play with a group of tough, unselfish guys who get along great and give everything they have?
I don’t know how this series will end. I have no illusions about how our starting unit stacks up against Boston’s. Our guys had to play their butts off last night in order to win. Boston’s players walked on the court thinking they just had to show up to win four straight. They were wrong. They won’t make that mistake again. Speaking of Boston, the Heat exposed them and their coach for what they are…arrogant, soft, spoiled, entitled and unworthy of an NBA Championship. If they expect to win anything this year, they are going to need to learn from Miami and put on their hard hats and get to work. Just showing up may work during the regular season, but it won’t get you jack s*** in the playoffs.
Who knows what the future will bring? I sure don’t. However, I do know one thing, the Miami Heat coaches and players will show up every game ready to do battle and will give 100%. Period. I’m good with that, win or lose. Meanwhile, I plan to enjoy the next few days until Saturday’s game, savoring our biggest win of the season. I love the playoffs!
GO HEAT!!!
P.S. Boston fans are still dealing with their loss this morning. Here’s a tidbit. lol
Avatar for Jonty17k
Joe’s a stubborn guy lol. Like on one hand I’m like, he’s probably right. Play the numbers. They’ll likely never hit that many 3s in the series again. KP and Jrue won’t be an inept on offense, and we’ll win handedly. And if he changes to a switch defense by benching KP then they’ll play nothing but zone and it’ll be 2020 all over again. So we probably win this but if they had Jimmy and Rozier, would we lol? Isn’t that pretty sad as a 64 win team? I think you can’t just play the numbers in the playoffs. You need to play freaking jazz like Miami has for years with their squad of bottom feeders.
Squad of bottomfeeders is hilarious. I’m going to give this chowda head the benefit of doubt as I’m guessing he means without Jimmy and Terry, but come on, dude. Bam is an All Star. Tyler was 6th man and proved he can play at an All Star level. Code Red Caleb damn near won ECF MVP last year. You know what? Forget what I said. That guy is a dip$!t.
Let’s win game 3! Role players play better at home. Time to make that true.
CODE RED !!!! CALEB THE CELTICS KILLER IS BACK!
as crotty pointed out when ty doesnt volume shoot and plays a smart game he helps the team win alot more, for him not to have a shot the first 7 minutes is unheard of.hope he finally gets it that his volume shooting hurts the team more than helps.i only saw one unwise shot.talent will only get u so far .if u play smart game along with your talent that puts u over the top.continue that type of mentality pass first and you will become a real good player.tys a very talented offensive player but just needs to play smarter.bam was great last night to.porzingis just to slow for him and horford to old.bam just needs to have that killer aggressive mentality hes got all the talent in the world.martin was so smooth last night finally had little arc to his js those line drivers hard to go thru net.great game didnt see that coming guess he likes the parkay floor, jjj not scared of the moment love to see that in a player aggressive fkn player with skills.definitely a solid player for the future.niko with his baby face not scared of the moment either.his length and skills are evident just needs to not overdribble.the best game these guys have played in a long time should give them confidence in this series.its nice to see a celtic team without smart that dude was one pain in the ass for us.they lost the heart of the team when they shipped him out.holiday porzingis more talented but comes the playoffs not sure their better off without smart go heat
Excellent comments. In fairness to Ty, he overshoots sometimes because he is their only option and he has to. If they had more choices, he is not a selfish player and passes readily. The thing that I find surprising is Jovic’s defense. It’s actually now pretty good, and getting better. I did not think he could move fast enough to become effective that way. And how about Caleb, he is a bit of a Celtic’s killer.
I know it’s just one game but it was one remarkable game, one of the biggest upsets you will ever see and a time to just rejoice and bask in the sheer joy of winning with a decimated squad. Even if we don’t fare as well from here, feel great Heat fans, just feel great!
Don’t forget about herro’s defense on brown. After he was hot at the end of the 2nd quarter, in the 2nd half he didn’t do much. Also guarded him good in the first quarter.
ty was challenging brown for sure in fairness brown missed some bunnies though
Yes, that’s true, even zinger was missing the bunnies against shorter players , made him useless. Also It’s clear they still don’t have an answer for bam after 5 seasons. Whether it was theis, timelord, grant, tatum, horford, and now kp.
cant forget theiss
I agree that this is an excellent comment, perhaps your best and most positive of the season. In fact, it’s so positive that I’m concerned you might be ill and need to see your doctor! Lol!
It’s crazy what sobering up from wine coolers can do to the human mind. Truly fascinating.
C’mon, be nice. Credit when credit is due. 😀
A man can change.
You a baaaad man!
lol
just returned form dr rc i was diagnosed as being bi polar.he prescribed me with duncanol.take once a day after every heat game and u will never say another negative comment about duncan robinson.gonna try it for the first time saturday at 9pm,ill let u know if it works
Take that duncanol only as prescribed. I read if you take too much, it makes you foul and severely lowers your defenses.
if i take to much dr says i might od due to lack of defense in body
Yes, I saw that on WebMD. And you are susceptible because you already have little defense for some of your comments, lol. I’m just trying to keep you healthy.
Dayam heat! Great comments!
Glad to see you come out of the darkside and into the light.
GO HEAT!!!
I know right…good words from hfl
keep playing like that shuts up my criticisms for at least a game lol go heat
a game like that put the eastern conf on notice.can that be duplicated prob not.can we come fairly close to shooting like that maybe.if ty plays like he did last night we got a shot vs boston .14 assists is crazy good id settle for 8-10 a night 50% shooting without volume shooting excellent he can make us a better team just by playing smarter
Amen brother!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
We won.
What a great start of the day.
For the records, I have always said that of all the EC teams, I have always preferred for the Heat to meet the Cs than any other team. So this is not a surprise for me that they beat the Cs without a traditional pg because I have always maintained my pisition without any shift, that a pg is the least of the Heat’s issues. Now let us see how the Heat did it tonight without Buttler, Rozier and JRich.
1. They won the battle of the boards 40 vs 39. In game 1, they literally seen to concede at the C’s end of the court. Tonight’s game was different. The Heat contested at both ends of the boards. Well done Heat.
2. The perimeter defense tonight was exciting and a delight to watch. Tge defense started from beyond the arc. In contrast, I described their perimeter defense in game 1 as pathetic.
3. I always preferred the Heat playing the Cs to any other team in the East. The reason is very simple. The Cs play their best game in fair weather. When there is a storm such as the Heat can bring, the Cs panic. They did panic in this game resulting to flops and looking for calls. This was well described by one of the commentators. I was not surprised, it is typical of the Cs when the tide becomes rough. Well done Heat for maintaining your composure while the Cs lost it.
4. Have always said that in this league, to give your self a decent chance of winning, you need to shoot at least 40 % from beyond the arc. The Heat collectively shot an insane 53.5% from beyond the arc with Martin leading with 83% , Jovic 75%, HH 60%, Herro 54.5%, JJ 50%. This was extreme.
I am happy with the win, YES. Am I surprised, NO! Did I see it coming, again, No. The Heat did what they needed to do and the stars aligned in their favor. So it is a well deserved win.
The campaign is not over. The Cs are very good and a better team when their pride has been bruised. They also play very well, away. The battle is still an uphill one for the Heat but with health and consistency, I hope they repeat tonight’s performance again in a few days from now.
Basketball is a fun game if you understand it.
Go Heat, Go !
I give you your props. You always have a somewhat different point of view, and your perspective and input is valuable because of that.
Thanks, much appreciated!
hes from uranus has a diff point of view
Lol, so true hfl.
i really thought well be swept..never been happier to be wrong lol. Niko is a keeper, hes improving his game. Hes much like a baby porzingis, perfect frontcourt partner for Bam
Can’t say just how proud I am of the guys tonight. Nobody, including most of us, gave them much of chance without Butler and Rozier. I, for one, admit I was very wrong. Who could have imagined they would hit over 53.5% of their 3’s? The overall defense was great!!! Herro’s 14 assists show just what he is capable of as a play-making point guard, if he were ever to choose to pass more and shoot less. Passing up bad shots results in taking better quality shots and making better quality passes. All five starters were in double figures. Jovic played very well (except for turnovers, which he will learn to minimize). Caleb played more under control and took better quality shots. Jaquez gave his normal, hard-nosed performance. Bam was excellent. The bench played adequately on offense and helped keep everyone not named Tatum (28 points) or Brown (33 points) from scoring. White (13 points) was the only other Boston player who scored in double figures. Finally, Spo outcoached Mazulla…by a mile!!!
Again, big shout out to Spo and the guys on a great victory! Keep up the great work and continue giving them hell! One game at a time!
P.S. Have fun!!!
GO HEAT!!!
Meanwhile, a few tidbits from Boston…
The Executioner
What an embarrassing lifeless performance. 37-4 at home this year really had me believing this team would actually protect home court in the playoffs for once and by game 2 we’ve already dropped one, to this garbage undermanned Miami team. Same story every year. Fans at the game deserve to be refunded straight from the players’ and coaches’ paychecks after pathetic efforts like tonight
Arete313
Mazzulla just isn’t a championship level coach…..if you think losing to a team without their best player is somehow a good thing, you’re delusional
Zeitgeist68
Not surprised at all by tonight’s outcome. First you have a # 1 or # 2 HC in the association going up against the # 30 best coach. Brad has done a remarkable job building this team but he has a blind spot when it comes to hiring Mazzula. Secondly, this team is soft. They’re front runners, lacking heart. Third … Tatum has too much Kome and not enough Bird mentality. I still expect them to win this series b/c of the talent disparity. But I wouldn’t be shocked if Miami won the series. I pick the Knicks to come out of the East.
I took some time on their blog. It is mind boggling to see how many people there feel that Spo is the best or near best HC in the NBA.
Yup. Like players, he has bad days. After all, he’s human. But as far as preparing his team for their individual assignments in a team setting, getting them motivated and making in-game adjustments, he is definitely one of the best. Pop may be the only one who is better.
There was some crazy stats that the guys on tnt were saying, like this shooting performance from 3 was so historical, it only happened 4 other times that a team shot over 52 percent for the whole game from 3. I think miami has the 2nd or 3rd highest percentage from 3 in a game in playoff history. Also no other team has shot 50 percent from 3 more then once against any team in the playoffs… except miami heat, whose done it 4 times in a span of 2 years against Boston.
Yep. Saw that stat from Coupe’s Takeaways in nba site. Hope we can do it again. A bit improbable but not impossible
Even if we can’t get those numbers again I would still be happy with 40 percent from 3, on
14-20 makes from beyond on the arc .
I think I speak for all of Heat nation when I say:
BWAAAAHAHAHAAHAAHA!
I love beating the stupid Celtics. Especially in Boston. Always fun to see those “real fans” head for the exits early. I hope this series goes 7 games again. It’s so fun to play against these schmucks.
And maybe, just maybe, if it goes seven we might get our best and third best player back. Then we might not need to shoot so incredibly from the three.
so here’s my one cent…proven shooters gotta shoot. and we have shooters. even if they’re having bad nights they still have to try. coz that’s what the coaching staff would encourage still. and that’s not bad coaching. im just quiet always when fan/s calls out to remove this and that player. i respect that but again knee jerk reaction understandable with those frustrating bricks. will this 50%+ fgs on threes continue? we hope. the facts are there will be no sweep. we have homecourt advantage. the Boston fans are scared. Heat is very much rent-free in their heads again now that we won one game in their turf. the fight is very much there and the hope to still win this series is very much alive. Go Heat!!
AMEN!
We are driving them absolutely nuts. The whole of Beantown will be having a self confidence crisis for the next couple days. They were saying how they waited all year to get us back and now this.
Beantown?
Isnt Chicago called a windy city for the same reason?
The origin of the name:
”Puritans, who faithfully observed the Sabbath by not working or cooking on Sundays, prepared giant crocks of baked beans on Saturday, which were kept warm in their hearth throughout the weekend. Soon enough, visitors started referring to Boston as “Beantown.”
I didn’t know that, thank you.
I remembered an old joke from one of TV series, when somebody said, that they eat a lot of bean in Chicago, and somebody else responded oh that’s why Chicago is called a windy city.
I thought the same can be said for Boston.
I just red the comments in the celtics side and goddamn the trauma of last playoffs kicked in and they were having ptsd. Mentions of let Mazzulla go, Holiday sucks, White must leave, heat’s hot three etc etc. Awesome thing is Shaq called it at the pre game that Heat will win by 10.
Huge adjustment this game. Its a good thing Bam was more aggressive tonight and that Martin was hitting his shots, those helped in Herro not being the focus of the defense by White and Holiday.Herro made me eat my words tonight about him not being a good playmaker, hopefully he can continue making me eat it.
Yeah, I’m over there getting the vibe. Speaking of adjustments, this guy had a great comment about Spo (unlike resident drunk)

I think people overlook the impact of playing actual series against teams. In the regular season you play a team once, maybe twice and then move on. In the playoffs you’re guaranteed 4-7 games against the same opponents. That’s always going to benefit the team with the coach who knows how to adjust. And Erik Spoelstra is the best coach in the NBA at making adjustments (and potentially overall), so it’s really not surprising that they’re always built for the playoffs
Nice comment from mdgp
boogieman of these Celts that is the Heat coming out of the closet again lol
now its gonna be mental fortitude for them to not to collapse. we got home ct adv go Heat!
Just left that blog myself, and it’s music to my ears, it’s makes me smile listening to them whine with bad takes. I think one dude said he would fire mazzula tonight and let Sam Cassell run the team lol. Also since they think jrue sucks and want white to leave, I wouldn’t mind if we took one of them back to our team. Let’s hope herro continues making ppl eat crow because it’s good for business. Also it feels awesome knowing we have the best coach in the league and not junior assistant coach mazzula like one of the Celtic fans pointed out LOL.
WE’RE NOT GETTING SWEPT! HEAT CULTURE ALWAYS SHOWS UP 🔥. EVERYONE PLAYED GOOD!!!. BAM WAS CLUTCH IN THE 4TH, LOOKING LIKE KG. WE NEEDED A HERRO AND TYLER CAME THROUGH, HAD 14 ASSISTS, WITH 6 OR 7 3’S. ECF CALEB SHOWED UP IN A BIG WAY, SLASHING IN THE PAINT, AND SHOOTING TIMELY 3’S. JUAN WICK WAS AN ASSASSIN TONIGHT, I KEEP FORGETTING HE’S A ROOKIE…AND NOT JUST ANY ROOKIE, HE’S ALL-ROOKIE. JOVIC CONTINUES TO GET BETTER AND BETTER. HIS OFFENSE AND DEFENSE WAS ON POINT. THE FUTURE IS LOOKING BRIGHT.
gonna rec this…i mean plus this lol
Lol I’ll take whatever I can get.
AMEN!
For this one game, a massive upset! In their house, fans leaving early, 14 point underdogs.
Excellent reporting. What a game! How did that happen? Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
