Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo is a gold medalist once again!
Team USA capped off their unbeaten trek with their fifth consecutive gold medal Saturday–Adebayo’s second and Erik Spoelstra’s first, serving as an assistant under Steve Kerr–with a 98-87 win over France. It marked USA’s 17th-ever men’s basketball gold, including their seventh of the last eight Olympics.
Adebayo tallied two points and one rebound in the contest. His lone basket was a slam on a feed from Stephen Curry with four minutes to go in the second quarter.

In six Olympic games, Adebayo, who turned 27-years-old in July, averaged 6.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 53.3 percent shooting, converting on three of his nine 3-point attempts. His best game came against South Sudan in group stage, posting 18 points and seven boards in 21 minutes on 8-of-10 shooting and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
The Heat big man came off the bench in all six games. He primarily worked alongside Anthony Davis, though there were plenty of instances throughout the Olympics where he operated as the team’s lone big man.
Adebayo is the second Heat player to ever win back-to-back Olympic gold medals while being apart of the organization. Spoelstra also became the first head coach in franchise history to win an Olympic gold medal as a coach, too.
What a way to cap off the summer for a pair of franchise pillars.

We are less than two months away from the start of training camp. Can it start already?

Congratulations to the US, and France team, for a really entertaining gold medal game.
Congrats to US.
I believe the game of this tournament was the game with Serbia.
For some reason I didn’t like how France was playing.
And the best defensive player in NBA, Gobert, looks like defensive liability… again.
Bam should win this title.
Yes, Gobert keeps winning dpoy for doing only one thing well – sometimes. Bam defends well against all opposing players.
