Jimmy Butler to be featured in new Netflix documentary, “Starting 5”

Jimmy Butler
Miami Heat fans will get a first-person look at Jimmy Butler’s infamous side quests in the new Netflix special.

Ever wonder exactly what it is entailed for Jimmy Butler’s side quests? The new Netflix documentary, “Starting 5” set to air on Wednesday October 9 this year, will showcase all of that. The documentary will follow along with a handful of NBA stars in behind-the-scenes footage of their everyday lives.

Not only will it include real game action and maybe even some locker room videos, but it will be showing off the court footage as well. The special will feature Butler, former Miami Heat legend LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum and Domantas Sabonis.

Netflix will be expanding their sports streaming service to the NBA following success from its “Quarterback” series a year ago.

The life of Jimmy Butler has always been intriguing enough to earn some spotlight. His personality makes for an interesting character both on and off the court, and it has been highlighted with his recent media day antics over the years. Last season, Butler pulled up to media day rocking the viral “Emo Jimmy” hairstyle. This came after a dreadlocks look just one year prior.

The 2023-24 season featured many side quests from the current Heat star. Whether it be new commercials, starring in the new Bad Boys movie trailer, or even appearing in Fall Out Boy’s recent music video. This series may even showcase a bit of Butler’s coffee hustle with his growing popular brand, “Big Face Coffee.”

He is also a loyal soccer and tennis fan, and has appeared to several games throughout the years. Butler even showed out to a Nascar race that took place in Miami earlier this summer.

As the Heat gear up for a much needed redemption season, it will be fun to sit back and watch the more personal side of their franchise star.

Looks like Jimmy was very busy last season…doing everything but playing basketball.

Thank you for your service Jimmy. However, I think it’s time for you to move on. Ask for a trade and make it easier on yourself and everyone else. I hear New York (Broadway), L.A. (Hollywood), S.F. and Houston may be interested in your services.

GO HEAT!!!

Well, I would prefer to watch him training in the middle of the night.
