The Miami Heat will host the Atlanta Hawks in their final home preseason contest on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EST inside Kaseya Center.

Wednesday’s game will mark the second leg of a back-to-back for the Heat, who secured a 120-117 win over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night. It will be the team’s third game in four nights, and it will close the preseason Friday on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies.

This Hawks-Heat affair was originally scheduled for Oct. 10, but was pushed back due to Hurricane Milton, a category 3 storm that killed at least 16 people and eradicated power for millions in Florida.

Miami’s starting lineup (Rozier, Herro, Butler, Jovic, Adebayo) got extended run (24 minutes) Tuesday night after not playing more than 17 minutes in each of its first two preseason contests. The group finished a plus-2; Bam Adebayo tallied a game-high 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 2-of-3 from 3-point range, in addition to three rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two steals.

There hasn’t been any conclusive report that any of the Heat regulars won’t suit up for Wednesday’s game, but it’s fair to question whether most will, given the circumstances.

If that’s the case, the Heat could get extended run from rookies Kel’el Ware, Pelle Larsson, Keshad Johnson, Isaiah Stevens, Zyon Pullin and Warren Washington, in addition to potentially Josh Christopher, Kevin Love (who’s only played 23 minutes through three games) and Alec Burks, among others.

The Hawks, led by Trae Young, have played in two preseason contests so far. Zaccharie Risacher, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.0 points on 60.0 percent shooting (12-20) and 44.4 percent from deep (5-9) in 22.9 minutes per game. Fourth-year wing Jalen Johnson plus newly-acquired Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance Jr. have also stood out thus far.
