The Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks 123-118 in a thrilling overtime game on Sunday night, led by Jimmy Butler’s season-high 33 points and a game-tying dunk in regulation. Alec Burks continued his impressive run, adding 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting from deep, including clutch buckets late in the fourth quarter and overtime. Pelle Larsson contributed efficiently with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and a +18 plus/minus.
The turning point came in overtime when Bam Adebayo nailed a corner three and locked down Kyrie Irving defensively, showcasing his two-way impact. Tyler Herro and Adebayo also recorded double-doubles, while Kyrie’s 27-point effort couldn’t overcome Miami’s resilience.
The Heat improved to 7-7 and have won two straight games. Their upcoming contest will be against the Milwaukee Bucks in a continuation of their Emriates Cup campaign.
