Miami Vice is back!
The Miami Heat announced Thursday that they will wear the original Vice jerseys from the 2017-18 season for the remainder of the 2024-25 season at home, starting Friday, Jan. 17, against the Denver Nuggets.

“We have been working with the NBA and with Nike for a number of years to try to make this happen,” Michael McCullough, Heat executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said via release. “We are the only team that is going to be bringing another uniform for the rest of this season. This is not a full league initiative. This is the Miami Heat standing alone and bringing back this fan favorite uniform for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.”
The Heat will also bring back their Vice court for Vice home games for the rest of the season. They are expected to wear the White Vice uniforms 20 times this season.
According to Heat insider Ethan Skolnick from the Five Reasons Sports Network, the Heat have been working with Nike for two years to bring these back.

The Heat debuted Miami Vice in 2017-18, lasting four seasons. They launched the black Vice uniforms in 2018-19, blue Vice in 2019-20 and the “cotton candy” Vice in 2020-21, the last iteration.
More than half of the 440K jerseys that Miami has sold since its debut have been Vice jerseys, which have generated over $25 million in revenue. They also sold over $40 million in additional Vice merchandise, making up nearly half of their total revenue over that span.
No more of the shameless “Heat Culture” jerseys that failed to represent the on-court product each of the last two seasons. Now, there’s an original Miami spice to the uniform, adding a fun and unique way to connect fans with the on-court product and the organization’s brand.

Arison might promise Jimmy one cruise ship if he gives his all this season lol
give him one for every champ jimmy has won
He might put Jimmy on a cruise ship out to sea if he plays like he did the last two games
Somebody has to blink. All the drama and uncertainty cannot be good for the team. Time for both parties to put their egos on the shelf and resolve this adolescent pissing contest. The players and the fans deserve better.
So is Jimmy playing tomorrow?
I’m going out of town for the weekend, and all of a sudden this is must-see TV

Kevin Love posted funny clip describing the result of the Butler – Arison meeting.
lol. Kevin Love gives me Chris Bosh vibes. I’m glad he’s on the roster
So, Jimmy is back.
nobody wants the quitter .cant blame other teams sends a bad message acquiring him,try to work it out here, these guys have to appreciate jimmy getting them to the finals.jimmy should just apologize for his selfish behavior and give 100% effort for mickey and pat the signers of those fat checks.i would welcome him back if he gave the effort level which dunc gives every night.lgh
I listend to Bill Simmons on my ride home from work, he wants San Antonio to trade for Jimmy (probably for Vassel) but he sounds like New Orleans (for some combo of Ingram/CJ and maybe Zion) or Denver (Porter Jr and spare parts). Amin Al-Hassan said the deal for Phoenix sends Beal to Detroit and gives the Heat spare parts from the Pistons.
Reading between the lines, every East team is out. Houston, Golden State, and Memphis don’t want the headache. I expect OKC doesn’t either. If either LA team is interested, I haven’t heard a peep. Portland and Utah are out because of their GMs. Minnesota is capped out. Dallas has nothing to trade. The only team left is Sac, but the Heat would rather wait for Fox than trade for DeRozan.
I think that’s every team in the league.
I would take Porter or Vassel in a heartbeat. I would do the New Orleans deal by the deadline. But I’d probably wait for the offseason before settling for something like Detroit.
Great breakdown of where we stand.
A little awkward that Jimmy is so prominent in these promo photos…
That’s Micky Arison making Butler feel guilty for the way he let the players and fans down and reminding him of city & team he will be leaving behind.
The first move to top 4 seed. It all starts with the Vice jerseys 😉
I still have a Vice hoodie, it absolutely rules. People who don’t even know it’s a basketball hoodie compliment it all the time
