Following the Miami Heat’s second half blown lead to the hands of the Chicago Bulls, they will aim to respond on the second night of a back-to-back against the Philadelphia 76ers. Philly will be playing on a back-to-back as well, and are coming off a tight 118-116 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday evening.
76ers superstar Joel Embiid led the way on route to that win, totaling a 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists double-double. However, he is already shut down from appearing in tonight’s game. The former MVP has only played 14 total games this season due to an assortment of injuries.
However, Philadelphia will still have his co-star in Tyrese Maxey ready to go. He dropped a 33 points and 13 assists double-double in their most recent win, and his scoring average on the season his skyrocketed to a career-high 27.8 points on 45% shooting.
The Heat received strong efforts from their frontcourt pieces in Bam Adebayo, Kel’el Ware and Nikola Jovic on Tuesday in Chicago. But their backcourt production and efficiency was shaky. Tyler Herro is in need of a bounce back outing, as Terry Rozier limped his way to just 2 of 12 shooting in his near 30 minutes.
Duncan Robinson only appeared in 10 minutes of playing time during the loss, but contributed 8 points in that span.
It is unknown if Robinson is fighting an injury that held him out, as today’s injury report has not released yet for either team.

One more day before deadline. ATM we got b2b vs sixers and Maxey got a score to settle with Herro for that allstar position. Tyler need to show up and bring a W
And that loss yesterday still feels awful would help if Heat wins this
Valanciunas to Sacramento.
Big time trade rumors floating around. Booker to San Antonio. Durant to Heat. h4l to Utah Jazz. More to follow.
We need to get at least 3 unprotected first round picks for hfl and at least 1 A level chop breaker.
Warriors coming hard after Butler. He needs to realize his dream of Phoenix isn’t happening. He’s mad at our GM but he should be mad at Phoenix’s for the stupid contracts he has on the books.
I’ve been staring at X (Twitter) looking for updates on Jimmy to the Suns and they keep talking like Durant may come to the Heat. Man… That would be a helluva way to make some lemonade out of this situation.
The problem is the Suns are in the second apron so they salaries would have to be almost exact. If they do nothing to get under the Suns could only receive Butler and Jovic and I’m sure at least one pick. The question is do they want to do that, does someone have a better offer, and does Durant want to go to another location?
This thing is going down to the wire
Kuzma to Milwaukee for Middleton. That eliminates two possible destinations for Butler. Possible Ingram to Chicago for Vucevic and Ball also. I hope Riley has an ace up his sleeve or a lot of fans are going to be really, really pissed.
At this point, if push comes to shove, I would rather trade Butler (to a very cold climate far from Miami) just to get him off the books than see his sorry @$$ around the team ever again.
How about Butler and Richardson to Toronto for
(Brown and Boucher are on expiring contracts and Olynyk’s contract expires in 2026)
It will be Jimmy’s fault. He could have been traded to like 4 teams by now, but he doesn’t are about joy or anything other than him getting a new max deal.
Cuz $400M plus endorsements plus Big Head Coffee plus real estate investments plus living the life in Miami just aren’t enough.
