Once an abysmal 10-game losing streak for the Miami Heat is now very much behind them. They have responded with four consecutive victories, including the most recent ousting of the Philadelphia 76ers during Saturday’s win.
Tyler Herro led once again in that matchup, leading with a game-high 30 points on outstanding efficiency numbers. The first-time All-Star has come alive in this recent stretch— bounding back from a minor shooting slump following the midseason break.
Along with Herro’s efforts, the Heat have gotten elite production from their big man duo of Bam Adebayo and Kel’el Ware. That pairing continues to prove that they can complement each other as a formidable frontcourt force for years to come.
Additionally, veteran Alec Burks has stepped up in the absence of Duncan Robinson lately. The savy sharpshooter is coming off an outstanding 20-point effort in Philadelphia.
Miami will need all these contributions to continue tonight, as the team is set for a matchup against the 16-58 Washington Wizards.
The Wizards have gone just 3-7 in their last 10 games and sit in sole possession of last place in the Eastern Conference. The Heat are already 2-0 against them this season, and have won five of their last six matchups against Washington overall.

We have to win this one, even without Wiggins. Hopefully this harmstring injury won’t sideline him for too long.
This would be a game where we could afford to let Terry play some and see if he can give us some kind of contribution. Better still, a GLeaguer could get some pt. Getting back to Rozier, it’s not inconceivable that he could still, despite all his poor offensive games, go on a much better run, and that is worth giving him a shot. He has gone off for some big games in his career, so it’s in there somewhere (unless he is hurt and it hasn’t been disclosed).
Let’s hope Wiggins is ready for the game after.
I agree. You have to give him some minutes here and there to see if he can find his game again. Not against Boston, but vs teams like the Wizards.
He still hasn’t learned that Miami traded for him to replace Lowry, a point guard. The team already has a legit shooting guard. His name is Tyler Herro. After a full year with the Heat, Rozier is still trying to do it all himself at his own pace, as he did in Charlotte. If he can’t figure it out, he should sit on the bench the rest of the season and watch and learn. Maybe next season, he can come in with a whole new perspective and produce better results. If not, he’ll be on an expiring contract, so he may be tradeable.
i think spo realizes defense wins ,to play dunc is just dum.burks better version.dunc tells me hes healthy coach dont want him in wants a trade.preferred destination athens greece
wants to play with kendrick
Duncan has a better defensive win share this season over Burks, .086 WS for Dunc vs .081 for Burks. Good to see your eyes are still B&J.
