GAME PREVIEW: Miami Heat return home sporting a six-game win streak against Grizzlies

The streaking Miami Heat have extended their recent surge to a season-best six wins in a row. If Wednesday night’s impressive upset over the defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics doesn’t show Miami’s potential, then fans won’t know what will.

They will look to continue their breakthrough to begin a three-game homestand inside the Kaseya Center tonight. It will be the second leg of a back-to-back versus the 44-32 Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis recently took down the Heat a few weeks back, and Miami will aim to tie their season series record 1-1. The Grizzlies have limped to an abysmal 2-8 record over their last 10 games— sitting as the current eighth seed in the Western Conference.

As for the Heat, they have improved to 35-41 on the season. They are just 1.0 game back of the East’s eighth seed and 1.5 behind the seventh seed Orlando Magic. Their injury report has not been released yet for tonight, but Andrew Wiggins and Duncan Robinson should both be expected to be sidelined again.

Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro have each rose to the occasion in stepping up for the Heat as of late. That All-Star combo will look to keep their versatility and efficiency going against Ja Morant’s Grizzlies squad.

If another win is secured tonight, a seven-game win streak for Miami would be their longest since the 2021-22 season. Additionally, they are the first team in NBA history to drop 10 games in a row and respond with a six consecutive wins right after.

Tonight’s game against Memphis will be nationally televised on TNT.

Great matchups tonight.

Herro vs Morant, Bam vs Jackson, Burks vs Banes Ware vs Edey (rookies) Larsson vs Wells (rookies)
The bench may be the difference. I’ll take Mitchell, Highsmith and Slo-Mo.

Edey vs Ware. Let’s go 7 straight!

Another big game. Memphis is currently in the play-in group, but tied for sixth, and a half game out of fifth. They have a lot of incentive to win this game.

A lot of incentive. But, they have not been playing that well of late. Still, not going to be easy on a b2b.
