A poor first showing. I argued last season that every game counts. Some disagreed (at least one, the same one that told me I was wrong when I said Ware would not start on day 1 of the season). Just for reference, there is this from the SS Dave Hyde:

Maybe the Heat need me back home – I’ll be there Saturday.
Definitely can’t over react to the loss. But, can’t feel great about this performance either. Hopefully it’s just an off nite, a rare one where both Bam and especially Jimmy were not as effective as they usually are.

Looking like the 2023-24 Miami Heat. No offense for long stretches. Bad 3 point shooting. And in general awful 3rd quarters.
It’s game 1. I have seen awful passes and terrible D to go along with what you said. I take nothing away from one total game.
It is one game this year (well 3 quarters) but when the majority of the rotation is the same as last year, is it really just 1 game?

They are shooting 34%. I don’t care what team it is, you don’t win shooting 34%, and this “majority” rotation shot 12% better as a team last year.
If the team is gonna compete like it’s an exhibition, can we at least put in the rookies? See something interesting in what’s turning into a blowout?
