to make ty a winning type player hes got to up his assists shooting% and his d.hes trending that way need a little more dishing than shooting though.one on one players trae youngs james hardens of the world not good for ws
That was by far the best game game this year against quality opponent. I m not disappointed. We were buried by one of the best at the end.
Still, Bam cant do anything right, and Rosier was bad. With those two played like that, an average Butler we don’t have much chance.
Its obvious, why Ware didn’t play much till now. But I suppose its better to play him as a backup center then Bryant to get some experience.
Agree with all you say, especially might as well play Ware anyway. People think that the transition can be instantaneous for a rookie, but it never is. Even the players who became superstars took time to adjust. Still, there is no other hope we have. There is a chance that he could make a difference, maybe eventually even enough to make us competitive with the better teams. You could see last night that the good teams are only a little better than us, mostly due to our line up being not deep enough in quality. Ware could eventually close that gap.
Start ware on this road trip. I would rather lose games while he gets his feet wet and gains experience and confidence, than seeing Bam altering his shots and getting them blocked by taller centers. He could have guarded Durant tonight and Ware could have played center. I was happy to see Highsmith playing much more assertively. Either the coaches or team psychologist was able to reach him or he has been reading my posts. He’s a completely different player when he is passive vs when he is assertive. Burkes and Larsson are handy to have off the bench.
Starters: Ware, Bam, Butler, Herro, Rozier
2nd Unit: Burkes, Pelle, Jaquez, Highsmith, Love or Bryant
bam and terry lost the game.ware was fine just needs pt/just the size and length of arms something we havent seen since shaq and zo
Good game. Good effort. Disappointing finishing.
Go Heat, Go!
We played good enough to win, but just wasn’t good enough. Between Jimmy’s brain fart, and rozier playing like trash. Spo left Terry in wayyy too long, and bam had a rough night. It’s clear we need to make some moves. Also shoutout to locksmith, he played one of his best games ever, you can see he has improved his game, and needs consistent pt going forward. It’s sucks to lose, and hurts even more since we lost that game smh. Something needs to change…
This shows that Heat are still one player away, another big. Ware, Highsmith, and big four, almost beat a very good team, JJJ and Burks, maybe Larsen, rotation players. The rest not good enough. Need Pat to do something. Need him to make a move. Or just watch as we play good enough to lose close ones. Sad situation as we are close.
enough with shnoz and dunc spobot.
Yes. But Pat keeps checkmating ourselves by investing in untradable players. Close to good enough isn’t good enough. It’s almost like Pat decided late in his career to get engaged in a social experiment, albeit somewhat associated with constantly having draft choices in the mid teens. But, it almost seems like late in his career he wanted to turn the clocks back to when Kentucky with Rick Robey played Texas Wesleyan in the NCAA finals in the sixties. Pat should get courts named after him, but he is now a fossilized relic pretending to be a GM, and lately having some bad team building tendencies that have saddled this team with some serious mistakes, unfixable ones.
We’ve had this dance before. In recent/Butler years, I only recall 2 ‘untradable contracts, Duncan and Lowry, and Lowry was traded. The biggest recent mistake was placating Butler by giving Lowry $87 million for 3 years. The Bam and Herro contracts are standard in today’s NBA.
True, and one of the untradable contracts, Herro, kind of rectified itself, as he raised his game where I think there now would be trade partners where previously there were not. How we got out of the Lowry move and actually got a decent player for a pick, was nice. But Lowry was still an awful move, especially for the money. And Dunc remains unmoveable. And, think there is much market for Jovic?, maybe only in a package. Love, Bryant, JRich, unmovable. Not so much salary issues, but definitely taking up space.
Bryant is possible if a team loses its center to injury. Duncan only has a partial guarantee for next season, so should be tradable at the deadline or after the season. Love probably isn’t going anywhere. J Rich? I don’t know. Jovic just turned 21, so that and his size should make him a target for some teams. Think of the type of player we could have gotten for the $29 million a year Lowry got. Oh well.
Yes, I am one that is close now to giving up on Jovic, as a starter. I am sorry as I want him to succeed too. But, people don’t realize how hard it is, how rarified the air is up there with starters in the nba. You can look good one minute and stink the next and you just need to have a good percentage more of the good over the stinky. Jovic is around fifty percent good, fifty stinky. Anyway, yes, Jovic still has potential upside and can be packaged, probably not a one for one trade asset yet though.
I regret lumping JRich with Bryant and Love. JRich was serviceable last year a lot and I distinctly remember he started out last year just as badly as this one. I like having Burks and JRich in the rotation, as seventh to ninth players. Highsmith and JJJ are good rotation players too. Dunc we keep for instant offense, and Bryant backs up Ware or Bam. We need Ware to blossom, and then we can pick up at the deadline a supporting big, if this team is still in it. The key, with no trades, is Ware, how much he contributes will be key to us being in it at the deadline.
Bottom line is this team, on several levels, just can’t afford to be a play-in team for the third year in a row. The only way to add is by subtracting.
One can only hope at this point that they just start tanking and ship out Jimmy/Bam/Herro and hope to get Cooper Flagg next year.
Otherwise this .500 purgatory we Heat fans are stuck in, only gets worse.
the dolphins of bball
Tanking for cooper Flagg really
You crazy for that, I rather just ship out Jimmy, dunc and maybe rozier. But gotta hold on to herro and bam. Even if we tank, it’s not a sure thing we would even get the first pick, plus I don’t even think we got a 1st round pick this year.
Good point. If they rebuild, you start with Bam, Herro (who has been very good so far this season), Ware, Pelle, Christopher, Keshad, and maybe Stevens.
should have just played ware pelle locksmith burks and tyler.those were your best players top 15 c
I think those of us who wanted to see Butler traded this off-season had the right idea.
Pat is a joke at this point. Game left him in the dust after he formed the big three. Since then he strikes out with every whale, over pays his middling talent, and is now trapped with a bloated wanna be super star, who is too old, or too uninterested in earning his pay check.
only reason bosh bron came here was dwade not pat
Good comments.I keep thinking, doesn’t anyone else see? It started around 2020 and has gotten worse with each year since. But, Jimmy, thru his greatness, covered up the problematic choices Pat started making around then. If you make a list of all the transactions, and all the near misses where we did nothing while whale watching, and all the untradable contracts, it’s very obvious how poorly Pat has done since then. Rozier was the one notable exception, and even he is just a high B+, low A- type.
Definitely. And now we are just good enough to lose close ones against the better teams. Doesn’t make us feel any better to have told them so.
Exactly
35 year old Butler passing the ball with the clock expiring instead of just taking a bad shot. This team is so cooked. Thanks Pat and Mickey.
standing pat.should be shown the back door
Not Mickey’s fault. Pat just stayed too long. I have been saying this for two years. It’s like a Julia Sweeney of SNL movie, It’s Pat.
embarassing top 15 coach lol
The current Pat sucks, not afraid to say it, until proven wrong.
true but pat riley is like don shula he gets lifetime pass
Did Shula ever have a down period?
7 games in jimmys not what we want him to be
Butler, Bam, Rozier 12-42
kd older than jim?he hasnt slowed down at all
Kd has a way better shot, so his game ages better.
so do his legs
hh great defender wish he was few inches taller
Highsmith is making my case for me that he should be the starting power forward.
hh wow teach bam how to do that
kds still ss
Jimmy and Bam the most over rated players in the NBA at this point.
Neither has any ability to create their own shot.
Keep running it back Pat.
bam never did jimmy once did
Yes, that was out of bounds
got elbow foul
Was a foul after all. Good.
If nothing else comes from this, hopefully the Bryant over Ware era is over.
no foul theyll win challenge
4th qtr ty fading
highsmith been best player
This is another game that we can win. Question is, will they stop the bleeding?
I’m cursing at the tv
nurkic abusing little bam for positioning for rebounds to big and strong mismatch.
Offensive rebound!
Bam has been terrible this game
agree
put lock in for dunc spobot
war3e
Ware 3!
putting dunc in bad move spobot
Good news? We tied them in third quarter. Bad news? Gave up a 15 to 3 run to end the quarter.
love pelle the new dan majerle
kd impossible to guard
Pelle!
Highsmith playing great
yes bout time spo put the right player in.
They should lose this challenge
Great work by highsmith
bams played about as bad as u can play
shnozzy your a nice kid but these athletes just to athletic for you
OK, fasten your seatbelts, here comes the third quarter.
how the hell gsw winning all these games
Poor half from Terry on both sides of the ball. Don’t really care about Bam’s efficiency thus far, I really like the intention he’s showing
3 for 15 matters suks
I don’t know. I am concerned about 3-15 for any player, especially the #2 or 3 option. I totally agree about Rozier. He’s looked out of sync so far this season. But he’s also the type of player who can hit that critical 3 when you need it.
Nice first half. Can we skip the third and go directly to the fourth?
bum adebayo jeez
like this burks pickup
