Let me be very clear on this issue. I am ecstatic about beating the Jimmy Butler Warriors. But if this team gets into the playoffs, we will lose that lottery draft pick. The strong likelihood is that we will not be eligible again for a lottery pick in the foreseeable future. There is little doubt in my mind that this team will be better next season. That would put us back into picking somewhere in the 15 to 20 range at best. If anyone really wants to see this team improve, getting that high draft pick, and even having a chance percentage wise to possibly even get a top four pick, is unquestionably the way to go.

You have to face reality. If Duncan is healthy, Spo will play him. I was among a few who felt the players we got in the trade would make for an interesting team. I agree I am not as optimistic as you are about how far they can go. And also, there will be no #15 pick this season if they make the playoffs because we will have to give it to Oklahoma. We will, however, get the Warriors pick, which should be in the 22 range.
