i think 30 owes pat an apology.i want to apologize to.also pat is the miami heat.w/o him we might have been the det pistons the last 3 decades.ty pat u and don shula the 2 most iconic figures in so fla sports we love u both
Sure does. Thank God you and I have been able to keep a positive spin on all the chaos that has been going on these past few months. Onward and upward, right heat?
Sure feels good smiling again. Blowing so many games in a row sure sucks to watch. They now know how to deal with crunch time. You can only get your ass kicked so many times before you either learn something or you die. (You can get busy living or you can get busy dying) They want to live.
What a great game! The team really seemed to click tonight, as it has for the last 6 games. You would never guess that this group would be capable of losing 10 straight. Sometimes in life, you must first experience the depths of failure before you can appreciate the heights of success. This group had it’s “Come to Jesus” moment after the Butler fiasco and the losing streak. They dug deep and found the courage to pick themselves up off the ground and go “b***s out the rest of the way and give it everything they have. They never lost faith in themselves or each other. Jimmy Butler is a just a fleeting memory. This is a new team chemistry being built right before our eyes. They have found their “Mojo” and are not about to lose it again.
I love the tighter rotation. It’s gonna be tough to take Mitchell, Anderson, Highsmith, Burks or Larsson out when Wiggins, Robinson and Jovic return. It turns out that Miami has put together a group that doesn’t fold so easily under pressure. It may be hard for Jaquez and Rozier to get much playing time the rest of the way.
I can’t say enough about Anderson and Larsson. They understand their roles and stay within their lanes. They are both cool under pressure and ultimate team players. The Heat has made 5 great additions this year in Ware, Larsson, Burks, Mitchell and Anderson. For all the bitching some of us do around here, I must give credit to Riley for making the best out of the Butler situation….making lemonade out of the Butler lemon.
Memphis is next up tomorrow night. The Grizzlies are not playing their best basketball these days. They have lost 4 straight, are 2-8 in their last 10 games and have dropped from 2nd place not long ago into a 3-way tie for 6th in the west with the T’Wolves and Clippers. Milwaukee is next after Memphis. They too are not playing their best basketball. They are 4-6 in their last 10.
As far as the Eastern Conference situation, Atlanta lost tonight against a depleted Dallas team. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games. Current play-in standings are as follows:
#7: Orlando (37-40) with 5 games to go
#8: Atlanta (36-40) 0.5 g.b. with 6 games to go
#9: Miami (35-41) 1.5 gb with 6 games to go
#10: Chicago (34-42) 2.5 g.b. with 6 games to go
The way Miami has been playing, I think they have a very good chance of ending up in the #7 or #8 spot. If that happens and they are still playing very good Miami Heat basketball, I hope they plow through the play-in opponent(s) and make it to the playoffs. If that happens, I don’t think that either the Cavs or the Celtics will want to face a hot Miami team in the first round. Remember the first round series vs Milwaukee in the 2023 playoffs? It’s happened before. It can happen again. Wouldn’t that be some shit?
GO HEAT!!!
P.S. If we must give up a 2025 lottery pick to OKC for making the playoffs, so be it. This group’s pride would not allow them to tank! Come to think of it, neither would mine. Thinking of tanking when you have lost your Mojo and 10 straight games is one thing. Tanking when you are on a role is sacriligious…
Oops! Make that 6 great additions. Wiggins, Ware, Larsson, Burks, Mitchell and Anderson.
so are we ready to unfire Pat Riley yet?
I do see his willingness to take players who haven’t fully blossomed yet and give them a chance to flourish/be all they can be. Butler was a malcontent who hadn’t found a home. Riley got the most out of him for 5+ years. Ja, Zion and Antman would probably benefit (on and off the court) by an infusion of Heat Culture.
to much drama with ja.zions always hurt.antman would we would have to give up the whole team for that stud.minn would never let him goi got the 2 ics and the greek only ballers ahead of antman.hes mj 2.0
Zion’s always hurt because he hasn’t been held accountable about his conditioning and poor eating habits. I hear he loves the New Orleans cuisine, (buttered and greasy), per Austin Rivers. Per ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith: “You got chefs in New Orleans, they love [Zion Williamson], they looking for him. The word out on Zion Williamson is that ‘He’ll eat the table,’ I’m quoting.”
You beat me to it. Only Bam and Herro were starters last season and this one who are currently playing significant minutes. 2/3 of our current rotation are the 6 newcomers (plus Highsmith). It has been quite a turnaround.
Although I’ve never been much of a New York fan, I did follow and root for the 1969 Miracle Mets. Same with Joe Namath vs Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. I like underdogs who give it their all. Once in a while, one of them gets lucky.
Nobody expected Miami to go to the finals in 2023. Even the most optimistic among us, heat4life, would not have believed you if you predicted the #8 seed Heat would plow through the Bucks, the Knicks and the Celtics on their way to the NBA Finals.
with playoff jimmy anything was possible
can never root for a ny team never.thats sacreligous down here.wasnt shula the coach of the colts?
Yup. I thought you were from The Bronx, so what’s that?
u cant forget about the subtractions sun thats just as important
wiggins is part of the dawgs(2wayer)shnoz and 55 nah.i gotta give spo credit but by default he took 55(due to injury)jjj rozier love due to suckiness out of the rotation.wiggins should be added to the great 8 when hes back.memphis coach fired with a good record that had to come from jaguns.hes a thug dont want him near the heat.memphis prob betteroff w/o the thug.dude should have been banned from nba
My only point is that Miami takes marginal players and gives them an opportunity to develop and excel. A lot of teams give up on players before they have tapped their true potential. Miami generally doesn’t.
Think of Mitchell. I think he has finally found his wings in Miami. I love the way he plays. He’s a bulldog. He knows how to control the offense and share the ball with Bam, Herro and the other players. Mitchell is the kind of player who creates a defensive minded atmosphere the way P.J. Tucker did. Between Bam, Highsmith, Mitchell and Pella, there is defensive accountability. If they don’t slack off the other players can’t either.
hes a pass first pg doesnt try to score as much could prob avg 15 pts a game but always trying to get his teammates good looks yeah hes a bulldog out there along with pelle dawg
WE BACK BABY!
Dreams are 👍
I want my baby back, baby back, baby back…
This will be the 200th comment 😀
Congratulations!!!
It takes a happy fan to be aware of the number of comments.
😀
wow 200 didnt realize that many
To hell with the draft! We’re going to the Finals THIS YEAR, and we’re gonna roll this shit back. Watch out, OKC, Miami’s got your number. And that number is 86.
Lol gotta love the confidence! Go girl!
Some confidence indeed. I have a picture of someone riding a jumpy horse 🐎!
in the draft bpa dont need a pg anymore
Who would be your top pick then?
i dont follow college to closely?i dont think u can get a better pg than davion.i think another big is need behind bam and ware.we got killed by kornette tonight hes one big ass dude
True, but if we get 2 picks, should still get one Maybe.
There are a couple of bigs in the 20-22 range where we would pick.
My top 5 in that range is Flemming, beringer, toppin, broome.
Sorber*
..
Danny Wolf, Thomas Sorber, and Rasheer Fleming are all in that range.
I like Danny wolf as well, it would be cool having a warewolf and an alpha dire wolf .
HHH so much alive this time of the season. Hehe. But I guess we are still very much divided for a playoff run or a top pick.
Keep playing well, it’s fine by me. As previously stated, let the chips fall where they may.
Ngl I want that top pick lol
Same here….my ideal scenario is keep this streak then silently falter in play-in then be “gifted” with top pick lol. Yeah id love to dream 😜
Totally agree bro 💯 👌
Battle of the win streaks, and we win, Celtics win comes crashing to a holt. Spo coached a good game, swept the road trip, longest win streak since 2023. Slo mo, and Swedish swish, played there best game’s of the season. 6 consecutive double digit wins, and bench was awesome.
theyve been good every night of win streak tonight they were awesome especially slo mo
Let’s keep the momentum going 💪
dav on ja box office stuff cant wait
rc can we give bost a series?
Well, keep playing like this, have a healthy Wiggins, anything is possible. One day, one game at a time.
remember big al porz holiday didnt play still think we can beat them with our d or take them to 6 or 7.
I don’t think taking them to 6 or 7 is worth losing a top 10 pick, which would be our highest in a longtime.
I agree. Either we are good enough to get past them and, if not, we are losing what might be a golden opportunity.
slo mos voice never heard him talk
Sounds like a chill guy.
def hes a 6 9 slow pg
Said it himself, he grew up playing pg.
gene shue had to wear a toupee
the great eight do it again
A big W!!
Take that Boston! 6 straight!
Josh c with da 3
josh that hair please
This is a really impressive win. Beautiful night. Savor this gang!
I will definitely savor this like some really good wine or food.
not that unexpected
Lol, on a 9 game winning streak on their home court, main players in all except 5 minutes, yeah, at least a little unexpected.
40% out plus big al not exactly true
Our third best player was out as well
when u beat teams by 20 a night u r a good team
american gets to see ty n dawgs tomorrow night tnt
Kabam with some spam.
Bam: one more for good measure 😝
Giving Boston a spanking lol
game means nothing to bost eric and crutty
Not entirely true. Mathematically, they still had a chance at the #1 seed.
4 down 6 to go
Correct. Mathematically still have a chance at the #1 seed.
true about 1% chance of that happening.cleve in cruise control now
What I wrote was an absolute indisputable fact, period. Whether they cared is another question. A fact is a fact. Simple statement.
bost needs to get holiday porz healthy from my point of view hope they dont
Yep. But seeing Cavs with a comeback W vs NY, and Mia making a good run Celts might be thinking we will get that 8th seed and they’re afraid to be first. Again. lol
Unbelievable. Celts waving the white flag that early
bost sending in white flag game doesnt mean anything to them eric
Wow, Boston raises the white flag!
I lied guys I decided I couldn’t miss this for the world what an absolute treat
Davion giving Boston an “off night”
im glad pj had some value
Yes sir
rc u were right pelle better than jjj props to u
Thanks, but like I said about Pelle and Mitchell, don’t give up on him yet. Just his second season.
not needed got enough,no athleticism
I don’t agree. No surprise there I guess.
Jaquez has some athleticism, just not enough moves, a bad 3 ball.
true your right,he gets blocked at the rim all the time
Thanks Bos for that timeout lol
Smells like a 6 game win streak. But not yet over….Go Heat!
Grand larsson!
Good one!
Just thought of it lol
thank u jimmy i dont hate u that much anymore
Kyle drawing fouls like jimmy.
jeez are we good now
I give our guys a lot of credit for how they’re playing tonight with no Wiggins out there. Yeah, I know, it’s a different team now lol
Playing like a well tuned engine.
Fighting hard. We have played really well so far.
Let’s keep it up !
first 70 games just boring bball last handful is what heaters are use to
i cant see atl chi orlando beating ty and the dawgs be surprised if they did
no charge there wtf
Slo-mo playing his best game of the season.
andersons been our best player
jjj a certified scrub its unfort but he played his way to it
He gonna be in a trade package.
He’s not playing so who gaf? Why not concentrate on the positives of the players out there? Oh, right, it’s you.
exactly rc i cant be positive like u all the time.ware was bad tonight lol
slo mo wasnt slo mo there
Good steal mitchell
I’m starting to think Anderson has mastered the Matrix. He moves in a way that hypnotizes the opponent.
Thats why they call him slo-mo lol
Lol!!!
i think we should all thank jimmy for doing what he did
Slo mo gotta close tonight
cornette has killed us w/o him cs down by 20
