Herro and Butler (14-45 FGs and 6-20 3 PT) missed far too many shots. Bam, Martin and Jovic took far too few. Spo screwed up when he pulled the second unit players when they had been playing a very good game. Herro totally disrupted the tempo and let Philly back into the game. In addition to shooting 33.3% FGs and 28.6% 3PTs, he had 5 turnovers. Herro’s late heroics were too little…too late.
I would chalk that loss up to Spo, Butler and Herro.
Oh well. Onward and upward. Friday’s game against Chicago should be interesting. They looked pretty good tonight vs Atlanta.

Definitely our second unit should have gotten more pt in the second half. They played very well in the first half. Instead Spoelstra kept the starters in for way too long. Butler was hurt, Herro struggled, Caleb and Jovic were bad and Bam was invisible. I do think he should have made adjustments sooner. He kept the starters in for like 8 minutes in the turd quarter. Our defense was bad and we struggled to score and lost our lead.
We really missed a point guard in the second half.
Jimmy’s injury messed it all up for us. We would have won with Jimmy healthy. We could have and should have won regardless, but this game was just like the whole season, injuries derailed us and in the end we lacked what it took to close out the game.

Well, on the minus side we lost. On the plus side, we’re about to be the first team to make the finals as an 8th seed two years in a row.
We got killed by old ass batum, we deserve to be 8th seed.

Herro was the biggest reason we lost, but he isn’t the only reason. I don’t like how spo didn’t let delon close, at least he doesn’t hesitate to shoot like hh. Jimmy was too passive in the 4th. Also bam wasn’t good and couldn’t take advantage of a gimpy joel.

Bam rarely plays great against the best centers offensively, but Miami held Philadelphia to a low score. Forced a ton of turnovers. Hard to hate on Bam.
Jimmy’s injury. Herro’s shooting. Miami’s lack of having a PG, I think were bigger issues than Bam.
I only hating on bam tonight because embiid was hurt and doesn’t have the lateral quickness he usually have ,so bam should of took advantage of that. 10 points isn’t enough. Everything else you said is valid.

I’d say the game threads are often miserable, because Miami has largely been miserable this year. There were very few fun games. Miami consistently lost to the NBA’s good teams. Overall this 4th iteration of run it back with Jimmy might be the worst, and I think fans are rightfully frustrated.
Many of the nba’s other teams are getting better, Miami isn’t.
I happily disagree. Going back now two years, in games that are close and Heat win in the end, we have straight up stupid, negative comments to a game that ends in a win. That amazing run last year was filled with dumb ass comments. I don’t need flowers all the time, but it makes this a bit pointless when someone is trying to piss all over the place all game. The ignore feature does not work here.
There have been a number of nice fans/posters that apparently gave up and left. It was better when we had an active moderator. But, in some ways, it’s reflective of the times we are living in.
