Nearly two months after the Miami Heat released their home preseason schedule, the team disclosed their two road games ahead of the 2024-25 season Monday.
Miami will open the preseason on the road against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 7:00 p.m. EST. They will then play three straight home preseason games before capping off their five-game slate against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, Oct. 18 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Their three home preseason games begin with the Atlanta Hawks, who secured Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. That game will be on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. EST, while their other two preseason affairs inside Kaseya Center will be on Oct. 13 against the New Orleans Pelicans and Oct. 15 against the San Antonio Spurs.
The regular season opener–matchup, location and date–hasn’t been made official yet, though that’s expected to be released later this week. The NBA Cup (in-season tournament) schedule for each team will be released Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. EST.
Miami, finishing 46-36, is coming off its second-straight play-in tournament berth. After a historic postseason run as the No. 8 seed in the 2022-23 season, Miami lost in five games to the eventual-champion Boston Celtics, who cruised to a 64-18 record last year.
