The Miami Heat formally announced Thursday that training camp for the 2024-25 season will be held at Baha Mar in the Bahamas from Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Oct. 5.

They also officially announced that media day will take place on Sept. 30, one day before traveling to the Bahamas,. In Baha Mar, the Heat will “conduct two-a-day practice sessions” at “the award-winning luxury resort’s Convention, Arts and Entertainment Center,” per the press release.

Training camp will not be open to the public, while media availability will take place following the first daily practice session.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Miami HEAT back to Baha Mar as they gear up for an exciting 2024-25 NBA season,” said Graeme Davis, President of Baha Mar, via release. “As the leading luxury resort in The Bahamas, we look forward to providing an exceptional training camp experience that exceeds their expectations.”

The Philadelphia 76ers will hold their own training camp in the Bahamas as well. Though theirs will be on the Atlanta Paradise Island from Oct. 1-5.

Miami’s first preseason game will be on Tuesday, Oct. 8 against the Charlotte Hornets at 7:00 p.m. EST in Charlotte, N.C. Interesting projected PPG averages for Heat players this coming season.

If Miami is committed to “small ball” until Ware earns a spot in the rotation and possibly the starting unit, I can see a starting unit of:
— PG Rozier (16.4 ppg)
— SG Herro (20.6 ppg)
— SF Jaquez (13.4 ppg)
— PF Butler (21.1 ppg)
— C Bam (19.5 ppg)
— Total (91.0 ppg)

Second Unit
— PG Richardson (6.1 ppg)
— Robinson (12.4 ppg)
— Jovic (8.3 ppg)
— Highsmith (6.5 ppg)
— Love 7.3 (ppg)

Waiting in the wings Burks, Ware, Larsson, Bryant, (G Leaguers)

Can’t wait to see the new players and the new chemistry. Seeing the team healthy for once will be awesome to see. If the hobbled team with broken down Lowry at PG most of the season could win 46 games, what can a team with a healthy Rozier, Herro, Butler, Bam, Jaquez, Love, Richardson, Highsmith, Jovic, Ware, Larsson, Johnson, Christopher, Bryant and Stevens do?

The glass is half-full!

GO HEAT!!!
