You smell that? It’s that smelly smell that smells … smelly!

The 2024-25 Miami Heat season is arriving before our very eyes! Media day is two-and-a-half weeks away, while training camp begins in nearly three weeks in the Bahamas!

Barring any last-minute moves, the Miami Heat completed their training camp roster Wednesday, signing a pair of Exhibit 10 players to max out its 21-player camp limit. Sure, we all know which players are on standard contracts and two-way deals, but which players are on Exhibit 10s? Let’s dive into it!

But first, what is an Exhibit 10 contract?

Exhibit 10 contracts are one-year, non-guaranteed training camp deals that could include an optimal bonus worth up to approximately $77.5K. If a player on an Exhibit 10 deal is waived, that player could opt to play with that team’s G-League affiliate–in this case, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. To be entitled to that full bonus, if rewarded, a player must remain with that club for 60 days.

If a player remains on an Exhibit 10 contract heading into the season, he can either be converted to a two-way contract or a standard contract. These E10s do not count against the team’s salary cap, so the Heat adding one or multiple players to Exhibit 10 contracts would not affect their current salary cap situation.

Each team can carry up to six Exhibit 10 players, though they cannot carry more than 21 players on a roster heading into the season. In the Heat’s instance, they have 14 players on standard contracts plus three additional two-way players. Thus, they will be allotted to carry up to four Exhibit 10 players, which they have fulfilled.

Which Heat players are on Exhibit 10 contracts?

Isaiah Stevens, G

The former Colorado State guard agreed to a training camp deal before Summer League even began. Lucky for him, he was–considerably–the best point guard they had. In eight combined games, he averaged 8.8 points and 6.9 assists (to just 2.4 turnovers) on 63.4 percent shooting. He canned 10 of his 15 3-pointers and went 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. Stevens’ 36.7 assist percentage in Las Vegas was the 8th-best mark amongst 328 qualified players while his TS% (.737) and eFG% (.703) both placed inside the top-25. I dub him the early favorite to earn a two-way, if one’s up for grabs.

Zyon Pullin, G

Pullin, a Florida alum, signed a two-way contract with the Heat immediately after the 2024 NBA Draft. After an underwhelming Summer, Pullin was waived from two-way, which was subsequently rewarded to Summer League standout Josh Christopher; he signed an Exhibit 10 nearly two weeks after. In nine SL contests, he posted 5.9 points and 1.9 assists, shooting 51.3 percent while netting three of his four triples. His eFG% and TS% top that of Stevens, albeit on fewer attempts.

Malik Williams, F/C

Williams is the only one of these four who has played in an actual NBA game, appearing in seven at the tail-end of last season with the Toronto Raptors. Williams was one of the Skyforce’s top rebounders a year ago, averaging 10.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 42 combined games in Sioux Falls. He posted 12 total double-doubles, including a stout 11-point, 21-rebound performance against the Oklahoma City Blue on Feb. 13.

Bryson Warren, G

Warren spent last year in the Heat organization with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, where he appeared in 27 combined games. In those games, the 19-year-old posted 6.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 50.7 percent true-shooting across 17.4 minutes per game. He’s still young and raw, though he already has a lengthy professional career, having played two seasons with Overtime Elite. Warren went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft and played three Summer League games with the Heat.
