Duncan, Dru and Bryant should not play more than 5 minutes. Dru had good first half minutes at least. Bryant shot 2 threes and that was it. They got too much playtime.
Jovic has improved, but still not enough to close out games.
Butler and Bam look like role players. This is imho the biggest issue.
First half was ok, but we got seriously outplayed in the second. KAT played extremely well, but I think it was in part because with this line up we have no weapons against him.
I was not impressed with the coaching tonight and with line up choices.
Anyway, if we face a player like KAT, AD, Jovic we are going to lose those games with this line up most of the time. Maybe Ware is not ready yet, but we need to do something.
This is the part where It’s hard to see but we are short a high level player against a loaded team like the Knicks, who are maybe a little bit better with Precious and Robinson, but they are close enough to full strength. And, even though we have our share of quality players, not quite as many as the Knicks. It’s a collective strength game because every game some players are on and some are not. So, it is as simple as the more top players you have, the better your team. That’s why I am always clamoring for a trade, an upgrade. Good players are not an asset in this league, they have to be very good, if not great. Our top four all qualify as very good players, but we need another. Ware could be it or not, but Robinson, Bryant, Highsmith, Jovic, Burks, JRich and even JJJ (he is the closest) are all varying levels of good players, not very good players. We need one more.
That’s how I see it.
I agree. We have literally too many good role players. So many that some do not get to play. And we lack a difference maker. Tonight’s game was a good effort by most guys, but just not enough to beat NY.

Ware is probably not ready yet to solve our issues. But I think it’s at least worth trying. Because by now we all know that the curent line up does not have enough to win such games.

I think there is a general consensus among Heat fans that we need him and the sooner we incorporate him into our rotation the better. I agree. But at the same time I don’t think at his age, with his lack of experience he will make us win those tough games. But don’t get me wrong, I want him in the rotation asap, I just don’t think he will be a miraculous solution that will turn us into a contending team in his rookie season. He will need more time to become that difference maker. Physically and in terms of skills and experience too. But I definitely think he should get playtime asap.

I really hate that I have a life time following this team. It’s been a gross mismanagement of the roster. Being held hostage by a medicore leader. Coaching is supposedly a plus, but then we watch Duncan Robinson play meaningful minutes each year. It’s going to be a long season for the run it back squad, only to watch them do it again next year.

This lost is on spo, and Jimmy. Spo needs to fix these rotations, because tonight wasn’t it. Duncan needs to get packaged in a trade because it’s blocking up locksmith minutes. Jimmy wants to paid a super max, but doesn’t deserve that type of money with performances like this smh. Also bam looks lethargic offensively.

I had/have low expectations for this team, but at the same time I wonder what they’d look like with halfway logical decisions made in terms of lineups and looks.

Their D is better in the 2nd half. And they got hot from the outside. And they are bigger and stronger.
We are still hanging in there only thanks to Ty. But it will not be enough unless we start playing better.
