It matters, but definitely less in bb than football. I would rank coaching importance; in descending order of importance: football, baseball, then basketball, then hockey. Just my opinion.

9-9 record reflects exactly what this team is right now. I don’t see it changing much without some kind of change.
That’s true. The results speak for themselves, as well as all the nuances around the results. And, we are healthy, so the only possible higher ceiling would come from Ware emerging and playing effective rotation minutes. And, if that best case scenario were to come to pass, it may help us get a playoff spot, but not likely much more. The only real upside into contention would have to come from outside the organization via trade.
And, I don’t think we should get too enamored by stats in the G league. G leaguers may become rotation players occasionally, but they don’t often start or move the needle too much.
We are a mediocre team when healthy, no more, no less. And no moves within the organization will change that.
