We definitely can compete, if we stay healthy and fire in all cylinders. What the Heat need most is stability. No trade talks will help a loooooooonnnnnnng way to get that stability and I am all for not twinking this roster.
Very encouraging win. Dru is having a major impact, especially in big moments. The other thing that really helped is we got a lot of help from Terry. And Dunc continues to play very well. But, the big three was solid again, with Ty being the best of them. One other factor, I think Love tweaked something or he wasn’t playing well, but for some reason, Bryant started getting his minutes. And that stabilized us. I still believe our weakest link of the players that get minutes, is Kevin Love. He was a great player, but not anymore.
All of the things above combined to get us a high quality win that no one can minimize. If we could stay healthy, we can compete.
Interestingly, I think the combo of Dru with Rozier allows Rozier to play more freely. Puts him in his natural sg position, doesn’t need to handle as much, and Dru clearly is able to cover the defensive end. In fact, there were times it appeared as if Dru was in 2 places at the same time. Incredible effort.
maybe this was what the Heat were “dreaming of” since last season. everyone being healthy. now we are seeing somewhat what that looks like and continuity i guess is the next step

Thanks for noticing. He is a totally different player than Love, but when Love is missing, and sometimes even if Love is hitting his typical two of six, I believe Bryant helps us a little more.
