Saturday night featured a dominant outing from the Miami Heat, who thumped the Portland Trail Blazers on their home floor. Miami extended their win streak to three games— only the second time they’ve done so all season.
Tonight, their west coast begins to conclude with the first of two matchups against each of the Los Angeles teams, with this evening being the LA Clippers. The Heat got swept in their two-game season series with the Clippers last year, and will now open the first of two matchups for 2024-25.
Over their past five matchups, the Heat have gone 3-2 over LA. The Clippers are 5-5 in their last 10 games, as the Heat have won 6 of their last 10.

We will find out a lot tonite. The Clippers are reasonably healthy and they are a good team.
I hope when Butler comes back, Spo tells him he is sticking with the current starting lineup since it has been a success and that he will come off the bench for the time being. Certainly, he would be pissed, but it would leave him 2 choices – suck it up and play hard every minute you’re out there, or complain and get suspended again. Or, better still, agree to be traded to any team that sees him as a half year rental, like Milwaukee, Memphis, Denver, whoever.
Enjoy the game guys. I’m blacked out since SD area is part of Clippers’ territory. Sucks!
