Well, those Nuggets are just the team we cant beat.
It was obvious, that there was an agreement. Jimmy promised to play hard, Heat promised getting him more involved. He gets the ball more early.
What’s next?
Some more 50 % basketball, early PO exit, possibly some drama and a big ugly divorce at some point till summer.
At least we have young player playing big minutes now, so there is some joy in watching this team.
Just got back home from Kaseya center, the vibe was surprisingly cool, even after getting smacked by double digits, I wasn’t even that disappointed cuz the writing is already on the wall with this team. I even seen this dude jimmy had a free layup and passed away like ben simmons smh. Now just hoping for a draft pick. P.s there was good amount of ppl there rooting for the nuggets… I told some of them f the nuggets, and they laughed gleefully, and gave me a dap or a handshake. I should of F Jimmy lol but seen top many kids wearing his jersey.

What a lot of us have been saying. For me, I’ve been seeing and commenting on this lack of effort for over a year now. Folks, stop making excuses. They need to ship his sorry ass out of here sooner rather than later, even if they take a net loss.
They are who we thought they were…a play-in team…with or without Butler.
Hopefully, Riley trades Butler for an expiring contract, a young player with a high ceiling and a draft pick, sooner than later. Then he has to get rid of the deadweight (Rozier, Robinson, Richardson to start with) and begin a full re-build centered around Bam, Herro and our younger players. The sooner the better. Putting off the inevitable will only exacerbate the situation.

We are the same team we were before the suspension. We have a decent team, just can’t beat the better teams.
Wonder what’s coming next, my guess is nothing. Generally speaking, recently our GM opts for doing nothing. Sometimes it’s the right thing to do but not all the time.

Doing nothing to upgrade the team is how we got here. Everything else is window dressing. For over a year now, there has always been an excuse for our GM to sit around and do nothing. But, so much of his inability to do anything is because of the decisions he previously made. Essentially, his pigeons came home to roost and here we are, an exciting ninth seed, unable to trade or upgrade, and still uncertain of our path from here.
If this season ends exactly like it appears to be headed, and no moves get made to give us any hope for the future (which we have no reason to have right now), some serious thought should be given to Pat retiring.

I hear you. I understand the pass he gets. I just get frustrated because lately it seems like nothing much gets accomplished to make this team better. The urgency for the last two years was Jimmy’s last chance to win a ring, but now that ship has sailed. Still, I wish there was more to look forward to.

I don’t know. Still seems to me we’re mediocre with Butler or without Butler. A little better? Yes, but still mediocre.
That’s what I am seeing too. Denver is very good. We are playing well and almost everyone is contributing. But, shooting a low percentage on threes is something we do a lot of. And, we aren’t getting enough stops.
In short, if we were going to keep Jimmy we still needed that other big who is a scorer too. Now, that seems like it will never happen.

The Heat are playing pretty well. If they were not playing a very good team that is fully healthy, they would be winning.
With Jimmy back we are a better team, maybe going from a 34-48 team to a 44-38 team. But, that’s it.

The Heat have more options tonight and are getting a lot of different contributors. Problem is two things, one, we can’t stop Denver, and two, we can’t make a decent percentage of threes.
Third thing, it appears like Jimmy is just another good part of the team, not really a leader anymore.
He’s just waiting for his next team to really try. Or maybe this is regular season Jimmy now
