(2) The Heat are a rebuild, like the Pacers and Magic. And they’re not in worse shape than those teams. I have hope…
This was an excellent win over a healthy team that was playing well. They are also the type of team, fast and athletic, that gives us trouble. And, we didn’t just win on a night where the Pacers played bad, we outplayed them when they played quite well. So, it was a night to feel really good about and see that we are not far off. Just two additions away.
On point. Feel good win but need to be consistent perhaps they’re starting to turn the corner in time for a last ditch run to the playoffs
2 good games in a row gets tougher sunday if we beat the knicks then we may have turned the corner to be a solid tier two team
I don’t say that Riley is great or that he hasn’t made any mistakes. But looking at these last couple of weeks, you have to give credit where credit is due. Getting Mitchell, Wiggins, Anderson AND a first round pick for Butler when we were literally hours away from getting nothing is looking pretty brilliant right now.
Absolutely, and in the long run, we will reap the benefits. Hoping Wiggins and Mitchell are parts of the new Heat era. By 2026 we will be smiling over that trade.
I like Wiggins, but I also think he could be a key piece in a trade for a whale. On trade machine, Wiggins + Rozier for KD is successful. Would that and 2 first round picks (but not both of this year’s picks. One plus a future) be enough? You know he wants out of Phoenix. I know some people don’t like him, and I don’t particularly like his personality, but a starting group of Ware, Bam, KD, Herro, and Mitchell sounds pretty formidable to me.
Not a bad idea. I have to admit I don’t like the aging superstar even though Durant will still be good for one year.
You are right in that we need an A to A plus player. We have two A-, Bam and Herro, and a B+, in Wiggins and then like four B players. But, the trade you bring up weakens us while helping us. That’s why I would rather draft at least one more B+ to A- player (try for two!), and trade for an A player with the money saved on Dunc and Terry contracts, by trading them with a young player with upside (Jovic or JJJ).
If Mimi is going to re-tool, it should be with young players that fit the Bam/Herro timeline not older ones like Durant. He’s another prima donna Miami can do without. If Heat can get another A-/B+ player (like LaMelo) by not trading Ware, Bam, Wiggins or Herro, that would be ideal.

I was thinking that. Either would be a great back-up to LaMelo or similar caliber PG. For the time being Mitchell should work out very well. Getting him for Tucker and a 2nd rounder was a good trade.
dunc was great on the offensive end .when hes shooting well dr told me he can stay on ct.dr told me when shots not going unplayable

Not only does Ty play well but he also handles the interview nicely. He gives credit to everyone else.
It’s amazing how he has matured in all ways this year. Over here, we believe that becoming a parent has something to do with that.

Me too. But these last 2 games, Duncan had put his stamp on the wins. However, there’s no doubt that he is a huge defensive liability and it is correct that if he’s not hitting the shots, it hurts the team.
true to a degree rc at the end of first half they took dunc out and they made 11 0 run to get them back in game.there were so many open looks with dunc on the ct.and most were due to his crappy defensive mentality and physicality
