Jeter gave up Realmuto for nothing back. He gave up Yelich for nothing back. As good a player as he was, he did not know what he was doing as a GM. He would fixate on these young kids with great physiques whose strikeout rates were off the charts in the minors and none of them panned out.

Pat ruined this season, not Jimmy. Jimmy left because he was asked to do too much with little support. For example, Dru Smith had to come in from the GLeague because we had no point guard. That was before Jimmy left. And Love/Bryant was our center. Is that a well built team? We are losing at a rate now where we could be the worst team in the league right now. That’s because Jimmy carried us before he quiet quit. But, make no mistake, this team was and is terrible without Jimmy and was barely mediocre with Jimmy and that is on Pat.

I forgot the memo that we were supposed to gloss over the fact Jimmy wanted his buddy Lowry here and that’s what he got, we were also supposed to gloss over the fact that pat tried and failed to get lillard due to the league (Cronin bitched to silver) espn shills woj and fatass windhorst also in silver and cronins ear. I didn’t get that memo that Pst ain’t do shit and yes that quitter loser part time injury prone goofball is part to blame as well
Exactly. Even after he lost a step he could take any roster in this league, Hornets, Wizards, the Jazz, anyone, and they would have ten more wins just because he was there. And that was after he lost a step. Before, it was fifteen games. Look what he has done for the Warriors.
At this point I wish I was watching the Heat summer league. Nothing I can see from Bam or Herro at this point is gonna help this squad.
Let’s see Ware, Jonson, Larsson, Mitchell, Christopher, and Jamie get the bulk of playing time from here on out.

Now it’s a blowout. Embarrassing. Our team has a lot of weaknesses. The guy who put this team together is responsible. I don’t know how anyone can be satisfied with our GM anymore. Team building is the GM’s job. This is the culmination of many bad moves, interspersed with a few good ones.

Yep, it’s always a good idea to do something illegal when the authorities are watching you so closely, where you could lose millions of dollars and be thrown out of the league permanently.

I’m sure a lot of us knew some people along the line who were on the wrong side of the law. Maybe you did or maybe you didn’t. But I can tell you that the ones that I knew always, and I mean, always, laid low when they knew the law was looking at them closely

A lot of what’s wrong with the Heat has to do with point guard play. Davion is not the answer. Nor is anyone else on the team except Dru, whose injury left a void.

I’m not sure about Dru as a starter, and that’s assuming he has a full recovery. He is giving me some Dipo flashbacks. We need someone better and more reliable.
I agree. Dru looked good but we have no certainty about him with such a small sample size. And Achilles injuries can be career threatening. We should have already had a player to run the offense. It’s an essential part of any team. We tried to pretend that Ty and Jaime could do it. That was absurd logic.
Bottom line, a lot of changes are needed this off-season.
