GAME PREVIEW: Heat look to snap two-game skid against Sixers

Following back-to-back tight losses to a pair of playoff contenders, the Miami Heat have a strong chance to bounce back on Monday evening. They are set to host the 23-55 Philadelphia 76ers, and could complete the 4-0 season series sweep against them with a win tonight.

Philadelphia has dealt with a historic injury stricken season— as several key players highlighted by Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey will all be sidelined due to an assortment of injuries. They are in the midst of an 11-game losing streak, with no real optimism on the horizon.

It has been a certified lost season for a Sixers team that had championship hopes heading into the new 2024-25 campaign.

Despite all the off the court drama that has taken place with the Heat this year, they have clinched their third consecutive spot in the Eastern Conference play-in.

They responded from a 10-game skid of their own with a breakthrough of six consecutive wins until dropping the last two matchups in close games down the stretch.

Bam Adebayo has been dominant in this second half of the season, although his name wound up on the Heat’s injury report as questionable with a back injury.

Both of Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins are also iffy heading into this game. Wiggins has missed five straight games due to a hamstring injury, but expressed optimism in making a return to the Heat lineup sometime this week.

Securing homecourt in the play-in round is still possible, who are just two games behind the eighth seed Atlanta Hawks in the standings. Can Miami bounce back and improve to a 36-43 record tonight?

T’Wolves had a tough time beating the 76’ers the other night with whole team/rotation available, so they aren’t a cake walk.

heatforlife

most teams at this stage of the season see a roster of unknowns their effort level is comparable to the quitters level

Sharkey

Herro, Bam, Wiggins all questionable. Plus Burks and Highsmith. That’s 5 guys from the usual rotation.

heatforlife

sixers have nobody either

heatforlife

injury prone wiggins still doubtful.guys damaged goods .

We have an excellent chance of getting back in the win column tonight. Philadelphia is one of those teams that have embraced losing. I’m not sure what their pep talks are like…maybe, go out and run around and try to make your individual stats look good and have fun out there.

heatforlife

there whole team is injured inlaws still celebrating eagles?
