Heat’s Kel’el Ware makes second-team All-Rookie

Miami Heat big man Kel’el Ware has officially made second-team All-Rookie, the NBA announced Tuesday.

He finished sixth in the voting. Others who made the second team include Matas Buzelis (Bulls), Yves Missi (Pelicans), Donovan Clingan (Blazers) and Bub Carrington (Wizards). Ware, 21, secured 44 first-place votes and 50 second-place votes.

The Heat’s No. 15 overall pick averaged 9.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game across 64 games. He shot 55.4 percent from the floor, 31.5 percent from 3-point range (1.7 3PA) and 68.7 percent from the free-throw line.

A part of me is surprised that Ware did not make first-team honors. Though the players who earned it–Stephon Castle (Spurs), Zaccharie Risacher (Hawks), Jaylen Wells (Grizzlies), Zach Edey (Grizzlies) and Alex Sarr (Wizards)–all had compelling cases as well to varying degrees. Castle, who ran away with the Rookie of the Year, is the only player who swept the first-team voting.

He finished 12th among rookies in total points, fourth in rebounds, sixth in blocks, fifth in field goal percentage (min. 150 FGA), second in win shares, fifth in win shares per 48 and tied for first in value over replacement player (0.7). Ware finished sixth in Rookie of the Year voting after securing four third-place votes.

Miami’s 7-foot big becomes the franchise’s second-straight rookie to make the All-Rookie team; Jaime Jaquez Jr. made the first team last year, finishing fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting with 89 of the 100 possible first-place votes. He is the 15th All-Rookie honoree in franchise history.

Ware has all the physical tools to put together, though an issue that oftentimes appears with him is inconsistency. Not all growth is linear, but if he can put together a quality second season with noticeable improvement, Ware’s stock will continue to soar.

pat gets lowry ind gets siakam lifes not fair

Reality Czech

When you don’t know, you don’t know. Siakiam was making $32 million. Pacers gave him a 4 year extension at $188 million, or a $47 million average. Pacers gave 2 players and 3 first round picks to get him. You have said fk picks like they don’t matter. They do actually matter. They are assets that can turn into good players or help you to get good players.

heatforlife

ok true but watching siakam win that game u werent thinking about our toronto pat got?then they doubled down and got toppin for nothing.how bout the inventor of bball for nada.enter my boy sunman help help

Reality Czech

You know how I hated that Lowry contract. I didn’t hate Lowry but he definitely wasn’t worth $28 million a year.

SunManFromDogBone

Miami is not about to give up the kinds of assets other teams have over the past few years. Here’s a few examples.

This is what Knicks gave up to the Nets for Mikal Bridges:

  • Bojan Bogdanovic
  • Mamadi Diakite
  • Shake Milton
  • unprotected 1st-round pick in 2027
  • unprotected 1st-round pick in 2029
  • unprotected 1st-round pick in 2031
  • unprotected pick swap in 2028
  • top-four protected 2025 1st-round pick via Bucks
  • 2nd round pick in 2025

Brooklyn Nets traded Kevin Durant and TJ Warren to the Phoenix Suns for:

  • Mikal Bridges,
  • Cameron Johnson,
  • 2023 first-round pick,
  • 2025 first-round pick,
  • 2027 first-round pick,
  • 2028 first-round pick,
  • 2029 first-round pick

Washington Wizards traded Bradley Beal to Suns for:

  • Chris Paul
  • Landry Shamet
  • Bilal Coulibaly (No. 7 pick, via Pacers)
  • 2024 first-round pick swap
  • 2024 second-round pick
  • 2025 second-round pick
  • 2026 first-round pick swap
  • 2026 second-round pick
  • 2027 second-round pick
  • 2028 first-round pick swap
  • 2028 second-round pick
  • 2030 first-round pick swap
  • 2030 second-round pick

Acquiring underperforming players with potential from other teams, (like Toppin or Davion Mitchell) is a different matter. Even then, you can’t give up the farm to get them in case they don’t pan out.

SunManFromDogBone

and Knicks get Anunoby.

SunManFromDogBone

Is a sign and trade of Wiggins for Kuminga a good idea? Wiggins is scheduled to make $84.7M over the next 3 years. Kuminga is a free agent. Wiggins is 30. Kuminga is 22.

heatforlife

great idea kumingas as good as bam all round. better offensively not as good on d.similar size both good athletes

Reality Czech

Here we go. Kuminga at this stage is NOT as good as Bam. This season he averaged 15/5/2 and shot 31% from distance. Bam averaged 18/10/4 and shot 36% from distance . So, Bam is better offensively and defensively at this point. Will Kuminga be as good or better as time goes by? Maybe.

heatforlife

hes got much better handle, more natural looking offensively.when kerr finally put him in there at the end he was their best player very mpressed with his game just needs more pt.wiggy has higher avg who would u rather have i guess the way u measure it would be wiggy then

Reality Czech

I didn’t say he wouldn’t be as good or better, just that he isn’t today. I think the Heat were trying to get him in that trade, but unfortunately, Warriors refused.

SunManFromDogBone

The question was whether he is worth as much as Wiggins. Is he a better long-term investment? Comparing him to Bam is like comparing apples and oranges. They play different positions and fill different needs. If you want to compare someone to Bam maybe try Sabonis or Sengun.

SunManFromDogBone

I would seriously consider this trade for several reasons:
1) The Heat only give up an expendable player/contract, a young player and a draft pick for a potential superstar.
2) Clauses in Williamson’s contract protect the Heat if he is not in shape or misses excessive games
3) The final three years of his contract 2026, 2027 and 2028 (totaling $126.5M) are not guaranteed!
4) If the Heat are successful in getting him in shape and keeping him healthy, the team could unleash a monster and have a superstar for years to come.
5) He, together with Bam and Ware, would create a formidable rotation/interior presence.

Miami Heat Revitalize Future In Proposed Trade For $197 Million All-Star

On the Tobin Show, Brendan Tobin explains why he wants the Heat to try to go after Zion Williamson in a potential two-way trade with the New Orleans Pelicans.

“I really like the Miami Heat’s idea of trading for Zion Williamson, but one of the things I love about it is I’d imagine the Miami Heat could do that, probably with giving up a pick maybe later down the road,” Tobin said. “I don’t know if the Pelicans want pick 20 or something down the road. Or maybe they’re good with 20 and Jaquez and whatever the salary would be, whether it would be Wiggins, Rozier, and Duncan.”

“But I know there was that one report that said right after the season, the first order of business the owner wants Zion traded,” Tobin continued. “I just think that if the Miami Heat can bring in some talent, that would still leave them with Jovic and Ware on the team, that would make me really happy.“

Williamson would also make more sense than trading for Kevin Durant because, at 24 years old, he fits more alongside the future of a potential pairing with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. Also, Williamson’s unfortunate injury history may have lowered the trading price compared to other potential stars the Heat can go after.

heatforlife

hate to pick on ty but if he were getting 25-30minutes with any of the 4 remaining teams that team would lose.ind not overly talented team after hali but man they got lots dawgs and after sga okc players not overly talented either, its not like their running bron wade bosh out there.just flat out dawgs types of players pat hates,

SunManFromDogBone

DAYAM! Knicks choked that game up worse than any of Miami’s choke jobs this season.

  • The Pacers scored 23 points in the final 3:14. No team in the play-by-play era that goes back to 1997, had scored that many points in the final 3:14 of regulation of any playoff game.
  • The Pacers outscored NY by 17 points (33-16) from the 2:15 mark until the end of overtime.

SunManFromDogBone

The Knicks don’t develop their players. They trade for them or pick them up as free agents. For example:

  • The Knicks sent Randall, DiVincenzo plus a pick to T’Wolves for Townes.
heatforlife

ok lebron we know pat suks the jobs yours 1 800 pat suks toll free ill pick up and transfer to mickey mouse. also og precious for inconsistent rj and not so quickley, and the biggy tearing jb away from lukaless dallas

SunManFromDogBone

Dude. Take a break. You’re too obsessed with Riley and Herro. Here, munch on this and have your people call my people.

After watching that unbelievable comeback win by Indiana last night, it suddenly occurred to me that the keys to Miami’s future, in addition to finding that one alpha superstar team leader, is the internal development of the younger players and trades for players on other teams who are underutilized or whose growth is being stifled because they are in the wrong situation/environment (e.g. stuck on the bench playing behind very good players). During these playoffs, I’ve seen several examples of players whose changes in environments unleashed their potential. They don’t all need to be future starters; solid, reliable rotation players are always good to have.

ALPHA SUPERSTAR

Riley’s job is to recruit a superstar by the summer of 2026. If he fails, he should be fired. PERIOD!

INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PLAYERS

With few exceptions, most of the better teams have drafted and developed key members of their rotations. In some cases, they were alpha leaders, in others, they were targeted as potentially good rotation players. When a team drafts a player, it is with the implied commitment to giving the player an opportunity to develop and succeed. With the exception of high lottery picks, most drafted players are not expected to contribute immediately as a starter or even as a guaranteed rotation player. This development process does not happen overnight. It takes time.

Miami currently has five players on rookie contracts (Ware, Jovic, Jaquez, Larsson and Johnson). In addition, it is in line for two more picks in the next 13 months. Furthermore, at least one other player (Smith) may be in line for a rookie contract. That is 8 players projected to be on rookie contracts (over half the team). They should all be given every opportunity to develop and succeed. That’s what inexpensive rookie contracts are for. A few may have much higher ceilings than what they have thus far demonstrated. It will take hard work, player growth, skill and physical development, as well as emotional maturity to fully tap that potential. It will also take time. Until they have been given that opportunity, Miami will not know what they have. The worst thing the team can do is fail to give them every chance to develop and succeed before giving up on them, thereby allowing some other team(s) to swoop in and be the beneficiaries of Miami’s developmental system. The best way to evaluate how young players will perform is to give them playing time.

IDENTIFICATION AND PURSUIT OF POTENTIAL HIGH CEILING PLAYERS BEING UNDERUTILIZED ELSEWHERE

There are countless stories in the NBA of players who were “late bloomers.” Players who did not begin to blossom until they were given the opportunity to demonstrate their full potential. Many of those players only “bloomed” after they were traded to a new team. A good example was Davion Mitchell’s progress after being traded to Miami. These potential “diamonds in the rough” are the types of players Miami’s staff should devote increased attention to scouting, evaluating and pursuing, if/when it makes sense.

SHORT-TERM RE-TOOLING PROCESS

Before being able to assemble a truly competitive team, Miami needs to get rid of it’s excess salaries. The easiest way to do that is to allow contracts to expire/not to extend players on expiring contracts. Two exceptions would be Davion Mitchell and Alec Burks, if they are available at team friendly prices. Davion is a quality player who can be utilized as either a starter or second unit PG and as a closer for defensive purposes. Burks can be the team’s inexpensive alternative sharpshooter to replace Duncan Robinson.

The preceding re-tooling process should take one season. By next summer, Rozier, Robinson, Anderson, Highsmith and Love (and their salaries totaling $65.5M) should be off the books. If no trades at all are made, Miami would have a team consisting of:

Veterans Bam, Herro, Wiggins, Mitchell, Burks
Rookie Contracts: Ware, Jovic, Jaquez, Larsson, Johnson, 2025 pick, 2026 pick, Smith.
2 open spots on 15 man roster
$50M+ to pay for a ss

REASONS FOR OPTIMISM IN 2026-2027

If just 2 or 3 of the players on rookie contracts develop into solid starters or rotation players and if Herro is traded for a solid two-way player on a long-term, team friendly contract (such as Dejounte Murray) rather than being extended for 3 years/$150M, the Heat should be in pretty good shape. At that time, Wiggins can be used as part of a trade package for a legit ss.

Was hoping Bam would be able to develop some athletic moves going to the basket but I guess his built, his physical structure is not quite made for that. He’s got the typical big man moves but too small at just 6’9″. Defense is still elite but offense is just a bit above average. Learning to play alongside Ware as a pf for a whole season would hopefully improve next season.

Yes, we need to face it. Bam is just not an elite offensive player and will never be.
Nothing wrong with that, still a great player.

Yeah, I wish our management was as good as theirs.

heat for life

def rc we were always better than these teams not no mo pat lost his touch

Hothothoopsfan4life

Why do yall constantly do that? Shit on teams currently better than Mia and as of right now are headed in a better direction and have a better future/outlook rn than Mia

heatforlife

living in the past rc s a tull fan

Reality Czech

I am a full fan, but, no, I don’t live in the past. I simply accept things as they are. Life is easier that way. I prefer to accentuate the positive, minimize the negative.

heatforlife

its only sports doesnt mean sht..heat are headed for bad years i believe rc,theres no way out.to many riley mistakes

Reality Czech

Then accept it and be at peace rather than fighting something you have no power over.

SunManFromDogBone

Half the fun will be watching the young guys and any new players we pick up along the way evolve into a top 15 team, then top 10, then top 5. The team can’t be NBA Champions every year. As long as they are busting their butts and doing the best they can, I’m good with that.

What I’m not good with is watching management make bad draft, trade, free agent and contract extension decisions. At this time next year, the team should be in far better shape than it is today. If Riley does not fix the mess he has created by next summer, he should be fired.

heatforlife

im really enjoying the cats now.heat are an afterthought .just like fins

keshad should have played over pelle not evenclose potential diff

Reality Czech

Why do you care why I write something? I am pointing out a fact. Between these 2 teams, they haven’t won anything in more than a human lifespan – 101 years. It is my way of saying I appreciate what my team has accomplished over the last 20 years. Maybe you’re too dense to understand sports is cyclical. Up and coming teams Knicks, Pacers, OKC, Houston, Detroit. On the downslope, Lakers, Heat, Warriors, Bucks.

Hothothoopsfan4life

Now what if either of them win then what? Mia hasn’t won shit in 12 years a decade ago and are on the downward trend lmao you can appreciate Mia without throwing shade at another team doing better than them. lol you went straight to downing both teams too prop Mia up instead of saying sports is cyclical only when someone calls yall out for throwing stones and hiding yall hand say what yall really feel lmao. If im dense yall are cowards

Reality Czech

If one of them wins, congratulations to them. If you don’t like what I write, tough sh*t. Makes us even. Lmao.

heatforlife

r u a heat fan?

SunManFromDogBone

It’s because the job of shitting all over the home team is apparently already taken.

Hothothoopsfan4life

Nah has nothing to do with shitting on the home team. Had the FO done what they were supposed to do Mia wouldn’t be on a downward trajectory. And by the sounds of it still not gonna do things right this upcoming season

vagibugi

No doubt FO made mistakes. Its true, that team is in the worst place right now in a decade or so. And its true, this team wont be much better next year, if OF will do the right things. If not, it will be a bit better next year, and much worse in years to follow.

SunManFromDogBone

Since you can predict the future, you thought you would start your preemptive bitching now? I’ll give him one season to pivot away the the “Butler era” and turn the page on a new chapter. Meanwhile, I intend to try to remain positive and hope for the best.

Hothothoopsfan4life

“Since you can predict the future”

This why I have a problem with your wannabe gm contradicting ass. You literally have multiple post about how Mia should mail it in next year and play the young guys more basically tank next season and look forward to free agency in 2026 and whenever so and so come off the books etc etc. now watch you try and backwalk all those post or be condescending

SunManFromDogBone

Using your made up term, I’m not *backwalking a thing. I still feel Miami should get rid of expiring contracts (there are 5 of them, Rozier, Robinson, Anderson, Highsmith and Love), develop our young players on rookie contracts (there are 5 of them (Ware, Jaquez, Jovic, Larsson and Johnson, plus 2 more draft picks, one in 2025 and another in 2026) plus Dru Smith for a total of 8. I would play the five regular starters, play those on rookie contracts and either allow the players on expiring contracts to walk or, if possible, trade them before the deadline for younger players with potential, second round picks and/or cash.

What’s your plan Boy Genius? Be specific. Do you even have a plan for the future other than bitchin about yesterday? Are you even a Heat fan or just what you appear to be, a troll ass, Debbie Downer, can’t get your shit straight, antagonistic chump (aka a loser)?

* Ashiatsu, or backwalking massage, involves a therapist using their feet to apply deep pressure to the muscles and tissues of the patient’s back. The therapist will typically stand on the patient’s back, using their feet to move along the spine and other areas of the back.

heatforlife

the only players teams would want are bam ware maybe wiggins to a lesser degree.the only plan now is wait and see what happens.jjj jovic larsson are not diff makers.ss turn franchises around not role players.get a ss only thing we can hope for

Reality Czech

I would put a lol here, but I would be accused of being one of your cronies. Oh, what the hell, lol 😆😆.

heat for life

edey or ware who u taking sun rc?

SunManFromDogBone

Edey is modern day Mark Eaton.. Too slow. Limited potential. Ware jury still out.

heatforlife

edeys size makes him playable.in college nobody could guard him.this past year he was better than ware.jury is out on both of them how good they can become.right now choose one sun

Reality Czech

How was he better than Ware?? Their numbers are almost exactly the same.

Big_guy305

I’m taking ware, there numbers we’re almost the same, plus edey started out the gate getting more minutes then ware. Edey is really big and slow of foot on the perimeter, so he can get played off floor more easier then ware, especially in the transition against quicker players. Also ware has more upside, especially on the defensive end, since he’s more mobile.

Last edited 20 days ago by Big_guy305
Reality Czech

Here’s one more. Despite the fact that Ware played far fewer games than Edey and other rookies, guess which rookie had the most double doubles this season? Yup, Ware!

heatforlife

your my gm thats a decision that has to be made in a few years we’ll see who is better.with bam on the team it takes alot away from wares game. id rather have ware w/o bam .with bam id rather have a giant like edey

SunManFromDogBone

We both liked Edey over Ware and other centers before the draft. RC liked Ware. After watching both play, if I had to pick again, I would take Ware. You are always harping on athleticism. Ware is more athletic. I think he has a higher ceiling than Edey.

Reality Czech

If Edey was available when that pick was made, I mistakenly might have picked him. Glad we got Ware.

heatforlife

your the apron man let sun do his job.

SunManFromDogBone

lol

heatforlife

athleticisms for centers not as important though jokic embid the 2 best have duncan athletic genes in their dna.time will tell edey ware.big slow footed white centers are becoming extinct though like one trick ponys

SunManFromDogBone

They won’t be extinct as long as Europe keeps putting them out.

heatforlife

ok who is ware, eaton had a nice career

SunManFromDogBone

Ware just turned 21. Check back with me in 5-10 years.

Reality Czech

I have to stick with Ware. I think with his athleticism, he has a lot more upside. I was intrigued by Edey in that draft, but feel we have the better player for the long run.

SunManFromDogBone

Wiggins, Anderson, Larsson and #1 picks in 2025 and 2029 for Darius Garland?
Oh hell no!!!!! His defensive rating is 114.7. Herro’s is 114.9. If the Heat were to pursue this trade it would only confirm once and for all that someone in the front office is thinking with a part of his body not connected to his head.

garland herro same player.both above avg players.garlands very injury prone.if garland can play pg not a bad deal sun garlands good for 20 tyler 20 i wouldnt mind that bc

SunManFromDogBone

Opposing teams would be able to target them both.

heatforlife

tylers gone next year.hard to win in playoffs with him even if hes avail beginning year flat out all star.as wear and tear of season kicks in his game goes downhill.value is as high as it could be.c ya.gimme an ind okc athlete who get me 15 and can guard.

SunManFromDogBone

Congratulations Kel’el!

First Year Stats
9.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 55.4 FG%, 31.5 3PT%. 68.7 FT% 22.2 MPG

Not bad, considering:

A) you didn’t see any serious minutes until late January, while most of the other rookies selected were utilized from the beginning of the season.
B) 3 of the first team players Castle, Sarr and Risacher played more minutes per game than you and
C) you beat out a bunch of lottery picks to make the 2nd team (you had 6th highest overall votes).

Next season should be even better. With added strength, conditioning, experience and maturity, you should become a very good (A- or better) center within a couple of years.

Realistic Second Year Goals
15.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 60.0 FG%, 36.0 3PT%, 75.0 FT%, and 30.0 MPG

SunManFromDogBone

NOTE: Since Jan. 19, (when he became a fixture in their every-game rotation), Ware averaged 11.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2 stocks in 28 minutes a game.

Reality Czech

Re: realistic second year goals. Once again, someone saved me writing a comment because they wrote exactly what I would have. Absolutely doesn’t need to average 20ppg, not just next season, but ongoing. 15/10 2 bpg would be fine.

heatforlife

if bam is traded wares 20 12 guy.id like to see bam traded for a20 pt forward

SunManFromDogBone

Here’s something to munch on heat. The money works on ESPN Trade Machine. This scenario presumes Miami will agree to contract extensions for Mitchell and Burks. I defer to RC for determining the first and second apron implications.

Sacramento gets: Adebayo, Wiggins and Jaquez

New Orleans gets: Herro, Rozier, Robinson, Highsmith and Larsson plus pick

Miami gets: Domantas Sabonis & DeMar DeRozan from Sacramento, Zion Williamson, DeJounte Murray and Herb Jones from New Orleans

Line-up:
Mitchell, Murray, DeRozan, Williamson, Sabonis
Bench: Smith, Burks, Jones, Jovic, Ware

Note: If Mitchell is not re-signed, Murray, DeRozan, Williamson and Sabonis can slide down one position to PG, SG, SF and PF and Ware can be inserted as C. Second unit can add Anderson as PF and slide Jovic to C.

heatforlife

on paper looks great on ct not sure depends on bball iq,im tired of bam tyler dunc team need a change .if zion could stay healthy hes a top 10 player bam maybe 30 ty maybe 50.id like to see ware start though

heatforlife

dissapointing last month playoffs to looked totally lost not well coached.not sure how good he is know he can defend block shots is he 10 pts 15 20 pts a night plaYER.he needs to be 20 to help our team which we need alot of

Rome wasn’t built in a day. The kid just turned 21 and has less than 3 months experience as a starter.

Hothothoopsfan4life

“dissapointing last month playoffs to looked totally lost not well coached.“

That’s because the whole team had no business being nowhere near a f***ing playoff

SunManFromDogBone

Hhhf4l, were you someone else in your prior life then changed your name to protect your real identity.

You must not have been around way back in 2020 and 2023, since I hadn’t noticed you posting until recently. They didn’t have any business being in the playoffs then either. Nonetheless, they upset a few teams on their way to the finals. So there’s that. There are teams that would kill to get in the playoffs and get swept (starting with Charlotte).

Hothothoopsfan4life

“There are teams that would kill to get in the playoffs and get swept (starting with Charlotte).“

Because you said so and it must be right, just dumb……the hornets would beat Mia in a playoff series. Lamelo better than any player on the heat Brandon miller definitely better than any heat player.

Reality Czech

I like Ball, but he had the 4th most turnovers per game in the league, shot 41% fg%, and 34% 3p%. So I disagree that he’s better than anyone on the Heat.

SunManFromDogBone

So much for hhhf4l liking only 2 way players. LaMelo’s defense sucks big time 117.2. That’s worse than anyone on the Heat team, even Duncan. Oh, I forgot, LaMelo’s not a whiteside. It all makes sense now.

Heat mediocre but Charlotte SUCKS! You didn’t answer my question. Must be trying to hide something. Hmmm?

Big_guy305

Lamelo injury prone and him and Miller aren’t better then bam. If Lamelo so good why can’t his teams make the playoffs or even get in the play-in in the weak east ?

Hothothoopsfan4life

So you idiots agree with dumman? Cha would love to make the playoffs to get swept. Love how yall come to his defense like he’s some god when he’s not, lamelo defense does suck but he’s more talented than anyone on this team and so is miller only thing bam is better at is defense lol

“Oh, I forgot, LaMelo’s not a whiteside. It all makes sense now.”

Anyone in the league would take him over Herro.

SunManFromDogBone

“only thing bam is better at is defense lol”

Reminds me of Woody Harrelson’s line in Doc Hollywood:

“I could have been a doctor…” “…it was just the math and science part I had trouble with.”

Hothothoopsfan4life

Again you don’t speak for everyone here and as I said before people defending you and not calling you out on your bs are just sackriding you and whenever someone calls you out here come your cronies. Me tank these last few games and don’t make the playin

You punt the whole season next year and focus on 2026

Big_guy305

I agree with Sunman cuz it’s the honest truth. It ain’t that serious, so get out your feelings my guy. I give you that lamelo has the talent to be a superstar, but it’s easy to be good on a trash team, and like I said he is injury prone, if you think herro takes a bunch of dumb shots, then lamelo takes even more stupid shots. His fg and 3 percentage is below average. Also I’ve been on hornets blog before and there mostly clamoring for playoff birth even if they get swept, it’s been a long time for them, and they think the draft is rigged anyway. Miller has talent but has to do it longer and consistently, he only been in the league like 2 seasons. So slow your roll gibroni. He could easily end up being an mpj with hornets developing him. Also sure it’s possible that anyone would take melo over herro, because pg’s with his archetype is rare, and coveted.

First of all, where did you see me and Big Guy agree with that playoff statement? Let me help you with that – you won’t see it because neither of us wrote it. And you keep saying the same ridiculous thing that we all kneel at the altar of SunMan. Obviously you don’t read many comments here because we all disagree with each other at times. He’s a thorough guy who offers facts and opinions like everyone else. Oh yeah, and he’s reasonable, you ought to try it sometime.
As for Ball, both BG and I simply stated facts. He, like Herro, has flaws. He is a poor defender with high turnovers, and low percentage shooting. Do I still think he’s talented? Yes. Would I be fine with him in a Heat uniform? Sure.
As for referring to people who disagree with you as idiots, let’s be clear. If there was an idiot vote on HHH, you would win in a landslide. I have communicated with you in a fair and respectful manner but you don’t seem to gaf. Okay, neither do I. Yup, sorry, not sorry. Lmao.

Ball>Herro
miller>herro

Ball vs bam wash
Miller vs bam wash

heat for life

everytime i see ball hoop hes chucking 30 footers.dribbling like hes on the playground/wouldnt want him near the heat hhh, brandon miller is injured alot.high pick hasnt played much 100 games 43 36 on a crappy team, better than bam either one no way better than ty maybe .bam is an elite defender coul;d be def mvp any year

Reality Czech

Considering one was the #2 pick and the other, #3, it is not far fetched to imagine both should be better than a #13 pick. Not always, but often.

heatforlife

i wouldnt trade bam for two of them,hhh4l is negative all the time but unfort hes right alot not this time

Reality Czech

As long as he agrees with you.

SunManFromDogBone

Per your response yesterday:

“Because you said so and it must be right, just dumb……the hornets would beat Mia in a playoff series. Lamelo better than any player on the heat Brandon miller definitely better than any heat player.”

First, you say LaMelo better and Miller definitely better than any Heat player. Now you are saying Ball and Miller are a wash with Bam. I don’t know anyone in their right mind who trade Bam for either of them. Herro maybe, but not Bam. Get your facts and your s*** together. We’re all getting tired of having to correct your uninformed trolling @ss. Have a nice day.

I’m a troll because I don’t agree with you or think your a gm like these clowns on here or think you know what your talking about

Your like everyone else here a regular guy who comments on a heat blog, you don’t work close with the team not a gm of any team for that matter so why does your opinion matter more than anyone else’s.

I don’t have a problem with you dumman except how you contradict yourself but get on others when they do it,

I and others said it was in the best interest for the heat to lose a couple of games and you cried and whine about them tanking now you want them to punt next season (basically tank) and look forward to 2026 in the only one that called you out about that and your cronies (probably your other accounts) come to your defense if someone questions “the great dumman from donkeysrear”

SunManFromDogBone

You’ll have to ask the other folks. heat4life is the one who started suggesting that I would make a better GM than Riley. I have never once said I want the job. I worked my whole life and am happily retired in the San Diego area.

I supported the guys wanting to get into the playoffs and busting their butts to do so. I didn’t expect them to win two games on the road, especially since their first play-in game was vs Chicago which was 3-0 against the Heat this season. I knew if they lost once, they would be in the lottery and if they won, they would be in the playoffs and their 2025 pick would go to OKC. Deep down, I was expecting (and even hoping) that the team would do it’s best and come up short. That didn’t happen so they ended up as the 8th seed playing the #1 seed and getting their butts kicked. Fortunately, the team now has a 2026 pick instead of 2025.

I did not support the team “taking a dive/tanking” in order to get a lottery pick. Karma has a way of giving you back what you put in. Take a dive and suffer the consequences.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. As for you, try getting a life and seeing a counselor about your negative attitude. Life is too short to go around mad at the world. Happiness is an inside job.

Reality Czech

If the guy would only understand it is fine to have a different opinion and believe it strongly without a need to be caustic. I am not sure why he doesn’t see it, but we all disagree here at times. And that’s okay.

InsuranceMan

Good job Kel’el, well done to Adam Simon as well

Reality Czech

Congratulations Kel’el!!
