If you ask me, this one is a “no brainer” if Wiggins does not return to an acceptable performance level.
If Riley can also bring in a good back-up PF/C to relieve Bam and Ware, that would be great.

Jaime is being used optimally right now. Wiggins should start and Jaime pick up all kinds of minutes spelling several players. Jovic starting will be a negative. He was used perfectly last night.

A mistake.
Wiggins is a good player, not great, a low B+ player, used to be a low A-, not anymore, but good enough to win with. He is getting paid about right, maybe a tad high. He drives well, plays good d, rebounds okay, and even though his three ball is just ok, he hit a big one in crunch time and down the stretch he is better, not worse. You can tell he’s valuable because the Lakers wanted him badly.

I don’t think there’s any question now, we won the Piston trade. AndJJJ is so back! And all Dru has to do is stay healthy and he is as good as we were hoping he was in the short time we saw him last year. We have the makings of a good rotation now.

Really the problem with Dunc, and it didn’t happen all the time, but most of the time, is he wilted against tough physical teams like the Knicks. And Jovic seems to do it too and Tyler worst of all. Ty could score big on the soft teams but against the Sixers he would fold up like a cheap suit. Thats why I want to trade him and ai stand by these comments. It’s not just his contract, or his difficulty playing d, or his injury history, it’s mostly because he avoids contact and only plays a finesse game and there isn’t much place for that in the NBA, especially as a starter. Finesse players can’t handle the NVA game, by and large, not many of them anyway. JJJ and Simone are players who are burly enough, strong enough, and aren’t afraid of contact, and are still highly skilled. Those are the types who contribute to winning in this league. His contract, injury history, and defensive liabilities are also good reasons to not give him 40 mill, that’s true too.
Tyler should come off the bench when he comes back. That or he should be traded imo

That is exactly how I see it. I told the truth about what I think of Tyler and why. I usually don’t say. Teams like the Knicks, the Sixers, the Pacers, the Celtics before this year, some Western teams, those are the teams Ty can’t handle. He especially wilts down the stretch against those teams. Nico shows similar tendencies but there are moments when Nico shows he might learn to fight thru it. Nico obviously has a great three ball, but even then, he usually needs more space to hit it. Covered tight like last night, he often comes up short with it. There is still hope for Nico because he is big and pretty strong, maybe not strong enough but he may still grow more. And then he has to enjoy contact, blast into people, not avoid it. There is no hope for Ty, he bulked up and he’s still all finesse, and because of that he can’t start. Maybe’s he can come off the bench but we can’t pay a rotation guy 40 mill. And we have his skills covered by others adequately and without giving up on the defensive end. Now that I have seen what Powell, Dru, Davion, Simone and Jaime have to offer, no question I trade Ty.
