Jokic #1 in assists in the NBA. That is unheard of for a 285 lb center.

Has some considerable skills and athleticism, but is a poor defender, injured every year, poor shooter, particularly from distance, and is a thug.
From Yahoo – John Morant’s scoring average has dropped for 3 straight years, his shooting has declined, and he’s been involved in multiple controversies.

I think he’s the anti-Heat player.

Plus he hates the fast paced game and prefers the pick & roll offense. Dude is a problem Memphis is stuck with. Miami doesn’t need all the conflict and drama.

didnt he get memphis close to the finals few years ago.i remember memphis upsetting a favored good team and making a run behind ja.hes def a thug but riley can take the thug out of him a little bit.alan iverson was a thug to rc.needs to be in right situation sort of like sam darnold daniel jones are

Spo has got to be intentionally giving the Nuggets easy wins. Everytime Miami plays in Denver Spo does the same thing by playing midgets against a much bigger team placing the team at an unnecessary disadvantage throughout the game ending up getting the very same result every year getting beat by double figures. Absolute madness

I didn’t say that. I said it is doubtful either one could. Jokic would totally school Vlad. A lot of Jokic’s game is on the perimeter and away from the basket. Vlad might have a chance under the basket, but that’s just a small part of Jokic’s game.

i can assure u 100% rc vlad would do a better job than keshad.keshad is so unskilled waste of a spot.need a big dude .vlad is not slow a foot as u think .i just saw kelly o ck in for spurs in we can use a guy like that

This gets back to Riley not having a Plan B if either of Miami’s two bigs went down. He should have addressed that problem before the preseason. Very poor planning. Oh well. It is what it is.

I know he’s not a center, but I really like Lauri Markkanen.

SunManFromDogBone

Reply to  Reality Czech

I would pass on Markkanen because:

  • He is owed $195.7M over the next 4 years (almost $49M per year).
  • He is injury prone. He’s played over 60 games only 3 times in the first 8 years of his career (averaging 56.3 games played per season)
  • He has averaged over 20ppg only twice. Last year’s his ppg was 19.0.
  • He is considered an average defender.
Bout30man

I think he could lead a team to the top. He is the third great European player. And maybe because he’s always on bad teams we never know how great he could be.

At this point if Miami never played against Nikola Jokic again, I’d be happy.

They never match up well. Plus he gets superstar treatment. Big dude, shoving players, drawing fouls and honestly just dominating my favorite team is frustrating to watch.

Glad we’ll be back at home soon. The next matchup with Denver might be a night off for me. Just not worth the watch experience .

Any injury, particularly to the front line, is difficult to overcome against these big teams.

We don’t know unless he tries. I admit, he probably ain’t ready, but you can’t teach size, and even if I want keshad to succeed, he isn’t draymond green, whose probably the only player 6’7, and below that can guard big bulk centers.

Sucks that bam got hurt, but we’re still putting good effort, even tho we’re throwing bad passes, and beat badly on the boards, and over matched with size. Spo needs to go deep in the bench and put in vlad the impaler. He’s kidding himself going even smaller with keshad as a back up big for ware, whose btw is playing that well either.
