On Wednesday, the Miami Heat — missing their two All-Stars in Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro — were facing the Cleveland Cavaliers without three All-Stars (Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley).

Friday’s matchup between the Heat and New York Knicks — an Emirates Cup group stage affair — will feature another without an All-Star. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, who suffered a Grade 1 ankle sprain in the Knicks’ 124-107 loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, will miss Friday’s game, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.

Brunson, 29, got injured with less than two minutes to go in the blowout loss. He was seen leaving in a walking boot and on crutches.

He is averaging 28.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. Brunson’s shooting 46.7 percent from the floor and 36.9 percent from 3-point range through 11 games.

The two-time All-Star lit up the Heat not too long ago, scoring a season-high 37 points with seven assists and three steals in a 115-107 Heat win over New York on Oct. 26, the Knicks’ first loss of the season.

Furthermore, Miami will be without both Herro and Adebayo, set to miss his fifth-straight game with a toe injury. Every other Heat regular is expected to be available.

The Heat and Knicks will square off in two straight on Friday and Monday, with the latter being inside Kaseya Center. We’ve seen the Heat not always get the job done against teams missing their best player(s). Will history repeat itself?

They are down one starter. Heat are down 2. It should be a good game. The Heat players needed the “attitude adjustment” they got last game. No more “laissez-faire” attitudes, hero ball, fancy sh*t or letting the media coverage go to their heads. This is a blue collar team that needs to play like one.

Ware and Jovic need to have fires lit under their @$$e$ and give 100% every play, not just when they feel like it. If they don ‘t, Spo should bench them. If that doesn’t work then trade them. F*** it. Don’t need any half-@$$ players on this team. The other players are working too hard to have these guys bring the team down. Focus and hard work every game, otherwise, g-t-f-o-o-h!

With the Knicks best player being out, we have a good chance. Maybe this is a chance to use Goldin a little as KAT is not the swiftest of foot.

It won’t be an easy game, although they are without their best player. With Bam missing, we can only hope Ware will step up against Robinson and KAT. Anyway, we will (as usual) have a big disadvantage in the front court. Our only chance is to run run and run some more and shoot well.
