“It’s not like we have not had close games. We’ve just been able to win them, and as a result, the reality sometimes doesn’t set in that you’re weak in certain areas or you’re not doing certain things well. … When you win, sometimes it overshadows a poor performance.”

Annoying game. I think Spo used this game for testing lineups. Starting lineup is flawed, but not because Powell and Herro playing together, because of Wiggins playing PF. Ware or even Nico in his place would be the right solution.

Bucks exploited mismatches regularly.

It is an excellent observation and you are right that the Bucks exploited the mismatches. And a lot of the Bucks finishing push came from guard play and Rollins, who is quite a talent. But it also was partly due to Wiggins lack of size that was problematic when he has to guard a far taller player.
But, first, Wiggins scored some big baskets, seems to be a player who contributes in crunch time, and is unquestionably a big plus over minus. He also made several big defensive plays. There are plenty of teams that wish they had Wiggins and will gladly pay his big salary. We would miss him so much if we didn’t have him.
The only viable solution with our roster right now, is putting Ware in with Bam at times. Any other move and we don’t win this very close game. But, really we need another big, a Collins, or a Kuzma, or that type.
I will only say that I am trying to be nice but things are like they are for good reason. Spo knows who should play and why.

Yes, the lack of size was a problem, nothing else.

Niko would be an ideal PF if he made the commitment to give 100% the way Ware and Jaquez have done. There is no half-way. To be successful, a player must make the commitment to go “all in” without fear of consequences. Once that commitment is made, the consequences have a way of taking care of themselves.

Maybe. Against this opponent he would probably fare better in defense then Wiggins.

The Heat had just enough. We have so many good players that some can be off and others pick up the slack.
I don’t know if the Bucks played really well without Giannis or what, but they did give us all we could handle.
It’s always interesting to watch players react to crunch time, who comes thru and who can’t buy a basket. The Heat got some pretty even distribution in the last five minutes. Powell, Bam, Ty and Andrew all had important moments.

No matter who is out for the other team, 6 in a row is impressive. The previous 2 seasons, this is exactly the kind of game we would lose.

It does not mean it will always be like that. In the last playoffs, all Cleveland had to do was to guard him because nobody else could score.

Lol if you’re a star/superstar you score on whoever is in front of you. Time to stop the excuses for Tyler’s poor playoff showings he’s averaging 14 ppg in the playoffs not just last year for his career
