The Miami Heat return home for the second night against the Sacramento Kings Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Miami’s two-game road trip resulted in losses to the Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic, respectively. It is now 4-7 on the road this season and 14-9 overall.

In the Heat’s one-point loss to the Magic Friday night, Norman Powell led the way with 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting, while Bam Adebayo had 24 points on 9-of-15 with a game-high 15 rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Meanwhile, Sacramento’s struggled mightily to begin the 2025-26 season. It was expected to be one of the worst teams in the West, but they’ve performed even worse than expected, depending on who you ask.

They got crushed in their most recent affair against the Houston Rockets, 121-95, led by 25 points apiece from rookie big Maxime Raynaud and Malik Monk off the bench. No other players scored more than 12 points.

Sacramento is losers of four-straight and are 5-17 to begin the season. It has played the league’s hardest schedule to date, but they still have the fifth-worst adjusted NET Rating with the sixth-worst offense and defense, according to Dunks & Threes. Miami, with the fourth-hardest schedule, has the 11th-best NET (16th offense, 5th defense).

Rozier (expiring contract) for DeRozan (has one more year left on contract for $25.7M (not fully guaranteed). Great mid-range shooter and closer for second unit.

The Kings have some players who would be well served with a change of scenery. This would be a nice team to trade with, depending on who we give up. If we could do it with a pick and no core players (Ware, Bam, Davion, Wiggins, or Powell) there are four players on their roster I wish we could have one of, at least- Murray, DeRozan, LaVine, and Monk. I know we don’t really need Murray, but if we are trading Ty and/or Dru, it be nice to get him with one of the other three.

What you mean we don’t need Murray, I would take him in hurry, he’s young, plus he could play the 4 position, and can shoot the 3, and play decent D. I would take demar too or monk to bolster the bench. I don’t want lavine tho.

Good points. A lot of people don’t like LaVine. I think his potential is underrated, he plays a position of need, and his offense would be really useful on the Heat.
