The Miami Heat hope to snap their five-game skid Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets. Tip-off will be inside Barclays Center at 7:30 p.m. EST.
This marks the first off three-straight on the road for Miami, including the first night of a back-to-back. The Heat have struggled on the road this season, going just 4-8 despite sporting the NBA’s 13th-best road NET Rating (1.8) and fifth-best defense.
That said, the Heat will have to correct their struggles offensively, first and foremost. Their defense hasn’t been perfect, but it’s kept them in games. Their offense, however, has shot — not pun intended — them in the foot. They have scored just 108, 105, 111, 108 and 96 points over their last five games, respectively.
Miami will be without Tyler Herro (toe) for the second-straight game. Thursday marks his 21st missed game (of 27 total) of the season. They will also be without Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic, who suffered a scary fall in Monday’s 10-point loss to the Toronto Raptors.
Brooklyn enters winners of four of its last six, including an emphatic 127-82 win over the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week. Can the Miami Heat get back on track?! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

If Norm plays, and with our injury list, if they give Keshad some play, we could take this game, even though the Nets are actually playing better lately, especially at home. And not having Cam is more of a loss for the Nets than what we are missing, so no excuses if we don’t win.
105.6 ppg in last 5 games (all losses). That won’t cut it. The team was averaging nearly 125 ppg prior to December.
What changed? The team stopped running, stopped hitting 3’s, regressed defensively and didn’t counter other team’s adjustments to Heats new run and gun offense.
Bottom line, the team has lost its mojo. Time to mix things up and also to sue tf out of NBA and Charlotte!
I believe is the other way around, team stop doing good things because other teams adjustments. I expect counter adjustments on Monday, but there was none.
Maybe Spo was just a bit late, and it will be better today.
the insertion of herro as many had predicted was a failure.that pace was not realistic guys were playing over their heads.3 pt shooting went south also.our supposed dunc replacement has sukd.norm has cooled off to.little bit to.davs 3pt shooting not as good as last year.dru looks like a bad shooter.bottom line talent level just not good enough to sniff jewelry.thats on pat coaching doesnt matter at all its everything in foots.its a competitive team not trash but no way champ level.in the association id rank us about 15-18
