This win made me feel a little better about the team. We were a little shaky at the end but still played a rugged team and stood up well to them. Jaime made a clutch shot that only better players make. I know Niko was missing but he seemed more solid to me and stayed within himself, without overreaching. And Norm was absolutely great.
That we can beat a quality team like this who was reasonably healthy shows our potential.
The idea about trading Herro continues to come to me. Maybe team chemistry is another reason for that move, along with the way pending contract.
Heat can beat this Pistons team. They only won by a few pts the previous matchups.

Herro will be difficult to trade at this point unless we add a sweetener, and we really don’t wanna add a sweetener. The only chance is, if another team is looking to get rid of a player, they don’t want, that might work.

Just checked…Pistons have six top 10 pics in last 10yrs! 3 top 5, one #1 and that’s Cade. Imagine if Heat went that route. Tanked for several seasons.
This is why it’s important to stay on a steady keel. There will be ups and downs, but this is unquestionably a better team than last season. I still am hoping for a strategic trade or 2 .
