Is there possible that Heat having a problem playing in Miami?
As far I remember, they play better on the road than at home.
They are 16-11 in Miami and 13-16 away. But lately they seem to struggle when they play at home. However, I think it is just inconsistency.
Ware, Larsson, Jaquez, Gardner, Jakucionis, Jovic, Johnson all under 25. Bam, Dru, Herro and Mitchell under 30. Powell, Wiggins Rozier and Fontecchio 30+. Team much younger than last few years. Sure could use a young ss
I’ve been preaching the first part all season. As for the last sentence, as much as I like winning, playoffs, etc, the team would be realistically better served if they end up with a top 11 or so pick. A player in that range might be just what the team needs or, just as importantly, it would give them another valuable asset to trade for one.
Looking at the East standings, it would be pretty hard for Miami to tank, unless they do something like what Utah is doing.
Miami has a better chance of catching Toronto than either the Bulls or Bucks have of catching the Heat.
If Miami continues playing mediocre basketball, it is very likely again going to be a play-in team. The question is will they finish 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th?
The only way Miami can get a guaranteed playoff spot (5th or 6th place) is if the Heat gets hot, Orlando plays mediocre and the Raptors and/or 76ers cool off/collapse.

I would definitely take a flyer on Jeremy Sochan and wish the Heat would do just that.
That game would have been a good betting opportunity. Heat missing 4 of top 8 and Pels pregame favorite by 2 points, but from the jump they outworked the Pels. 66 REBs to Pels 57, and Bam with 17FTAs
