Very efficient game all the way around. The team defense was smothering. The unselfish play was a thing of beauty. What I liked most were the smiles on the players’ faces and the return of exciting Heat basketball.
This team has a great deal of depth. Hopefully, everyone will adjust to their roles quickly and play their best basketball the rest of the way. The other reserves need to stay ready so they won’t have to get ready. They never know when their number will be called.
I think Herro coming in off the bench takes the pressure off Powell and allows him to get in a groove before Herro comes in. Let Herro slowly transition back into a starter in a way that does not upset the team’s chemistry as it did last time he came back from injury.
