watched replay with wiggins outbam out their prob our 2 best all round players hard to judge tonights team.ware was dissapointing .just no energy.keshad was very impressive.i think out biggest need is a stud pg.ball killed us tonight with his scoring and assists.dav dru just aint good enough both are backups.they better upgrade that position play keshod and goldin.their big white boy aint better than goldin.to many 64 67 guys on squad that are ok to decent players no diff makers ..biggest need off season a play making scoring pg

Not gonna blame Adebayo if he asks out with Heat’s path towards another play-in grind. But he’s not doing that maybe show another form of frustration. Not proud of being the kings of play-in

I don’t think he gonna ask out quite yet. If Riley can’t get us a SS or make us better, in a year or 2, then we should trade bam. But this is on Riley for sure. I guess a old dog can’t learn new tricks. In any case if we can’t get the 6th seed, then we should soft tank, and lose both games in the play- in. If we’re not contenders in 2 seasons, then pat has to retire or forced to step down.

That’s a very fair outlook. Including the soft tank. Giannis is injured again, and there is no doubt in my mind that they will shut him down even if he did recover enough to play, so they can soft tank for a higher draft pick. The Bucks priority will be to do everything they can to keep him. With a solid young lottery pick and a trade or 2, I think he will stay .

Giannis better come to us or the Knicks, because ever since we beat them up in playoffs that team hasn’t been the same since. Not to mention some of there fans are getting tired of its all me or nothing/ try to do it all himself ego. Also doc rivers will be still coaching them probably, and he’s been a trash coach for awhile now.

Game was going to be tough w/o Bam. That was a really encouraging effort in the 1st half. Davion, Pelle, Jaquez set the tone with perimeter defense and CHA couldn’t keep the Heat out of the paint. Ran out of gas in the 2nd and CHA started to find the holes in the defense. The Larsson – Jaquez pairing on the wing is really dynamic and only missing the 3PT shot. Nice game from Keshad also

Now it’s a buttkicking. The Heat need their top guys all back for these next eight games or they could have a rough time.

Who cares at this point. Almost guaranteed to be in the play in game. Miami’s closer to the 9 seed than the 6 seed.

And suffering a gentlemens sweep or a sweep in round one for the third straight year isn’t something I look forward to watching.

And the gentleman’s sweep would be highly likely, if we got that far. But, nothings definite yet. This game Keshod showed us something. If everyone got healthy, and we used our assets optimally, we could be right at sixth seed quality. That’s what makes it hard to figure what to hope for. But, I can see your point of view for sure. If the pick was definitely a high pick it would be easier to go that way, but I’m more at let the cards fall where they may.,

Time to put in the scrubs. No point in risking Herro, Powell, Pelle or Ware. This one’s long over.

Hypothetically if Bam is better than LaMelo, are the next three best players between these teams all Hornets? Miles, Konn, and Brandon Miller?

Riley need to build a better team.

From a 2 point deficit to 25. Sucks.

They might be better if we were healthy, but without Bam, they are clearly a better team than Miami.

I think, particularly with Kon, that their overall talent level is equal to what we have currently.

We just might have fallen too far back.

Watching these last two games, I’m just not sure how we’re supposed to ever buy into Pat Riley’s picture. This team isn’t talented enough.

They have heart. They play tough. They play an interesting style of basketball this years. But they just lack so much talent compared to so many teams.

“I’m just not sure how we’re supposed to ever buy into Pat Riley’s picture. This team isn’t talented enough.“

People on this board refer to me as being the negative Debbie downer but my stance is in your statement above. After that debacle in the playoffs after getting historically destroyed and changed nothing but getting rid of Duncan and signing Powell this is essentially still the same (run it back squad from the last 4/5 years) this team needs a major overhaul until then it’s a playin team.

I’m not sure what that picture is supposed to be. I don’t think he or anybody felt this is any type of contender. It is an improving team with more young players than most years that needs an injection of talent to make them truly competitive.

That’s fine, but I don’t think anyone in Miami’s front office recognizes that in the modern nba you can’t get elite talent through free agency or trades consistently.

Yeah, the Mavs shipped Luka to LA, but before that it was Donovan Mitchell.

Most years, stars stay put. So how do you build a team with middling draft picks, and no elite talent? By tanking…they won’t do it, but it’s the only realistic path out of the purgatory they are stuck in.

“By tanking…they won’t do it, but it’s the only realistic path out of the purgatory they are stuck in.“

They don’t like that word round here. Tanking please this franchise would rather be a playing team year in and year out than tank you kidding me. some here were just saying the heat can beat and/or give every team top of the east a scare or even (lol) can beat them. So when people like RC say what picture that picture, he was one of them talking that dumb nonsense
Same rodeo as last year beat scrub teams/teams that forget how to play bball when facing heat. Win a couple straight fans get hyped and believe this average team can do something special only for it to crash and burn in the playoffs.

Once again for the trillionth time I would rather they soft tank then to be in the playin for the 4th time. Call it what you want they have been running it back with a few changes here and there for the better part of 6 years it’s tiring

Huh? Thanks for the mention, but I’m the guy who has definitely not said we could compete for the east. I do disagree with you, however, about needing a complete overhaul. We have a lot of decent young complimentary players, but we desperately need an A or A+ player. And how do you do a complete overhaul in today’s environment anyway? You can definitely start by trading vets for picks or young prospects, but beyond that, what? There are some players in the upcoming draft that can really help us, but nobody that is at that level, unless you get lucky like some teams do picking in the mid or late first round. How would you do it? That is an actual question for you, not a rhetorical one. I read your stuff, sometimes agree, sometimes don’t, but I don’t call it dumb nonsense.

That’s what some have trouble seeing. People who are highly optimistic think the Heat are better than they are and I always think that the reason they think that is because they see how many good players we have with so much potential but they seem to not compare our team to the really good teams and see that they all have just as many good ones and maybe one or two better ones.,

Zachary Kap

Looking like the play-in again, and if that’s the case I’m firmly rooting for a loss. If they prove me wrong and make it as a 6 seed good, but another 7-10 seed just shows no progress, and shows they need a good draft pick.

It’s now more likely play in than not in my opinion. This game is over. The tanker wins create illusions of grandeur.

I know they won’t, but if they are in the play-in, they should tank.

Lot of tankers and two teams we match up well against. Then again, not having Bam and Wiggins is a factor. Then again, every team but Indiana coming next for the next eight is better than Charlotte.

Heat shooting 43% and 28%, not exactly killing it. They also getting out rebounded.

Basically staying in the game through free throws.

Zachary Kap

Hornets decision to leave White in with four fouls is paying off for them.

Not sure Miami has the D or O to overcome a 10 point deficit without Bam. Gonna need Herro or Powell to get red hot.

I wrote earlier today that the HUGE difference with Pelle, Gardner, and Kas as opposed to Jovic is that they play aggressively. Same for Keshad.
