How many wings in the NBA can do what Larsson did in this game, guarding Maxey and also having 20/10. But he was 44th in the draft and the Heat didn’t tank for the pick, so that means it doesn’t count for anything
So, back to back 30 point games. At least for one day, the ‘I would never play Ty if I was coach’ won’t be part of the narrative. The ugly vanilla narrative too.
‘u cant win with tyler herro just can’t’
‘obviously dont know the little things to win games .mainly defend’
‘exactly dude just doesnt get it.with herro .i like rc never take shots at him but u cant win with ty’
Hmm, I guess the dude does get it, lol. In the right situation, Herro can be a solid asset. I’ve said he is a gifted offensive player, deficient defensive player. I think that’s a fair assessment.
dude he was great tonight even defensively he made some strips of embid prevented max from layup with smart foul.last game he fizzled out in 4th not tonight.i still dont want tyler on my team based on previos 6 years of suking in playoffs hurt alot, and no d.if he can play like this the last 6 games on both sides that narration will change little bit.again u cant win with that defense.he plays hard to hide it theres a reason weve given up 130 pts a game last 7
If you think he’s the only reason that the team has given up so many points those last number of games, then you’re the one who just doesn’t get it. My assessment of him noted above is entirely fair. I’m not judging whether he’s good or bad for this team.
You say other blogs say the same things about him that you do. I always say any of us can find someone who agrees with another’s point of view.
For example, google, is Tyler Herro a good player?
Yes, Tyler Herro is a very good NBA player and a high-level scorer, having developed into a 2025 All-Star with improved three-level scoring efficiency. He is a versatile offensive threat known for elite shooting and playmaking, though he often faces criticism regarding his defensive ability and injury availability.
Herro 14 PITP this game, Embiid and Larsson both a game high 16 PITP
But Heat should let Herro’s contract expire next year for nothing is the prevaling wisdom here because Herro is a losing player, makes zero sense
Yes, but maybe we, even while always giving him his due for his offensive prowess, still underestimated that part of his game. He absolutely lit it up last night, with a level of athleticism that few players of any persuasion possess. And, I watched him on defense, and he held his own. But, alas, that is not always the case. He has off shooting nights and plays poorer defense sometimes too. And then there is the injury thing. But, when Ty is right, my goodness what a talent. Sometimes we are lucky to just get to watch.
That intensity has been missing for weeks. They almost sputtered at the end, as usual, but found it within themselves to make some clutch plays and baskets to pull it.
I don’t mind losing if they give everything they have. I hate seeing them just going through the motions, win or lose.
If it has to be the play-I hope it is asin as 9-10 team vs Magic. They are already 5-0 vs Heat on the season.
Hopefully, it is lottery here we come.
this is what a ss looks like (ty) there trying sun of course they are .w/o a ss its very difficult to beat good teams.this was 1 of 82 for ty he had a mini slump in 4th but closed beautifully.we need a guy that can play like ty did tonight 8 out of 10 games.roster doesnt have that
On the other hand, the Heat have to win one against Orlando, sooner or later. And it might just happen to be a play in game 🙂
I wouldn’t bet on it. Too tall. Match-up problems. Sometimes the outcome is determined by the individual match-ups.
I agree. There is a reason why the Magic have won all those games. Their physical play is a problem for the Heat. But I wouldn’t bet on Orlando either.
Time to sack up and beat the Celtics on home court. The Hawks just beat them.
Bam 23/16/6, +27
Larsson 20/10/3, +18
Herro 30/4/3, +18. 12 points in 4Q
Wiggins, Jaquez, Mitchell also excellent
Heat +15 in rebounds, +18 in PITP, +19 in fast break points. What a win
yes well posted best win of year phily was on a roll need to see more games like this.but prob wont
Bam +27 in 41 minutes , Ware -14 in 13 minutes
No stats on Ware’s plus 32 and Bam’s minus 1 a couple game ago, or the last 4 Bam game stats. Ware hater, or did he take your lunch money? HAHAHA STAT MAN
Heat +2.3 this year in 76 games, including
+6.7 with Bam in 2162 minutes, -0.4 with Ware in 1578 minutes
Our team is schizophrenic and my response is admittedly bipolar, but that was a special win, an important win, we proved something to everyone. Boy wonder looked just as good as Maxey in every way, maybe better. And Bam and Pelle were great and so many others had big moments.
better than max tonight
everybody played like they usually do ty was a ss tonight.
tyler u were fantastic congrats
games ova great win 117 109 29secs left .great great win .no fonzi dru second half good coaching
choked bam at neck no flagrant wtf
We won. Beat big bad Philly. I guess Philly needs a little more diversity.
no vanilla wheres doug collins bobby jones when u need them
I have evolved some on this issue. It’s more complex than it is often presented. Most aren’t old enough to remember what Wes Unseld once said, but he was definitely wrong.
On the other hand, yes Ty outdid Maxey tonight in a display of other worldly athleticism. I enjoy watching players like that, maybe my favorite part of basketball. Maxey is a wonderful talent.
