Tyler Herro to undergo ‘minor procedure’ on foot

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro will undergo a minor procedure this week on his right foot that isn’t expected to “significantly” affect his offseason regimen, according to Heat insider Ethan Skolnick from Five Reasons Sports Network first reported on Monday.

Herro missed a career high 49 games due to myriad injuries this season, including the first 17 with a foot injury. As a result, the one-time All-Star averaged 20.5 points, his fewest since 2022-23, to go along with 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Herro, 26, shot 48.0 percent from the floor, 37.8 percent from 3-point range and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line, the second-highest mark of his career.

Heat president Pat Riley, who conducted his annual end-of-season presser not long after Herro’s injury, disclosed that Herro’s surgery is “preemptive” and should be on the court by July. Meaning, the timetable for said minor procedure is roughly two months.

Federal Prosecutors To Bring Bribery Charges Against Rozier

…”It now appears his efforts to clear his name and return to the NBA will face another hurdle, as The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov reports that federal prosecutors intend to bring new federal charges against the former Heat guard, alleging that he solicited and accepted a bribe. This could create a superseding indictment that adds the two new federal charges – sports bribery and honest services fraud – to the two he is already facing, as Vorkunov explains.

Prosecutors claim that the NBA and the Hornets, with whom Rozier played during the time period in question, are victims of the guard, who “deprived” them of his “honest services,” Vorkunov adds. A grand jury will hear the new charges, which were revealed on Monday before a federal judge.”…

Prosecutors claim that the NBA and the Hornets, with whom Rozier played during the time period in question, are victims of the guard, who “deprived” them of his “honest services.”

  • What about Miami being a victim of the guard who deprived the Heat of his “honest services?” This is another reason Riley should have filed lawsuits against Silver. the NBA, Charlotte Hornets and Terry Rozier for failing to disclose the existence of criminal allegations against Rozier and an ongoing FBI criminal investigation?
  • Miami got royally screwed while the Hornets received the Heat’s 2027 first round draft pick and was able to dump over $60M in Rozier’s salary for 2025-2027.
  • If any party in this whole affair deserves compensation, it is the Miami Heat. WTF is Riley doing about this clusterf*%&, other than absolutely nothing? Heat fans deserve an answer!

THEY were deprived of his services??? He played for them. He had a good career there. He played part of one game for us this season and THEY were deprived?? That is totally nuts!

Heat organization (Arison, Arison, and Riley) are grossly mismanaging the team while cleaning up at the bank. The Arisons are worth billions and Riley isn’t far behind with 20% ownership, $10M+ annual salary plus profit sharing. Spo doing well at $15M+ per year. It looks like the only ones getting royally screwed are the Heat’s fans.

This situation reminds of the Phoenix Suns of 10-11 years ago. Their only solution was to clean house, starting with the owner and eventually the president, GM and coach. That transformation was prompted by a scandal involving the former owner as well as the poor performance of the team. It took them 10 years to recover. That’s the path I see Miami headed down now unless somebody wakes tf up and decides the team needs to change direction.

The only solution is for fans to boycott the team until/unless drastic changes/ improvements are made. At some point, fans need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid Riley is serving and put their feet down. Mediocrity is no longer an option. Until that happens, a good chunk of the fans will remain disgusted with the way the Heat is being managed and will begin to lose interest the team. I’ve seen this movie before. It can very easily happen again.

As expected.
Riley is an old man, telling old stories.
He will sit and wait for trades, if there wont be any good, see you in the next play in.

Soon, we won’t make the play in. Other teams are getting better and Miami is stuck.

Pacers will get Hailburton back, Wiz have a lot of young players and may add AD and Trea. Hawks passed Miami. Raptors passed Miami. 76ers similar but have Maxey and.VJ on the upside.

Miami needs to wake up in a hurry, but it’s going to take Micky waking up, not Pat.

Will be a playin team until further notice.
New owner new front office
New coaching staff
New roster
If we’re looking at this team objectively which teams next season will this team be better than?

Even if we don’t make it, it will be good for both micky and nick to suffer from losing. So they can both wake up,not just micky. But I think they’re both complacent, and instead of firing him,or telling him they wanna blow it up, they will give him leeway. I would say they will give him 2 years to try to build something before even considering that he’s has aged out.( even though we already know he gotta go) but Riley funna go all until he can’t do it anymore, so probably until 99.

Exactly. Nothing much said, many generalities. Many will be happy to know Jovic was penciled in as a starter. Not. And I suspect there may be some comments about “ I’m not retiring. I’m not resigning. I’m not stepping down.” Lol

The fact he doesn’t even know Wembanyama’s name is concerning.

Where is hhhf4l? This is exactly what he has predicted in the past, that anytime a trading opportunity comes close, Herro has some kind of injury.

It’s cause herro and his agent knows once he’s not on the heat anymore where he’s looked at as starter material/semi face of the franchise, cause once he’s not here anymore it’s spot minutes and guaranteed bench role for him.
