Some Miami Heat breaking news came via a Shams Charania report on Friday evening with Pelle Larsson agreeing to a new four-year $60 million contract extension.
Larsson emerged as a key rotation piece and underrated role player last season for Miami. He is coming off averages of 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 48% shooting while also leading the team in charges drawn.
Miami made it a point to hold onto Larsson as one of their lone development pieces in their early summer Giannis Antetokounmpo blockbuster. He is a physical wing capable of playing either guard or forward positions and primed to continue improving in the Heat’s system.
The deal comes out to an average of $15 million annually over the next four years, just a couple million above the non tax-payer midlevel exception price tag.
