In an announcement made via the official Miami Heat socials channels, the organization will be hosting an official ‘Vice City’ themed night in their November 18 matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The idea of the theme is a partnership with Rockstar Games in preparation for the widely anticipated new Grand Theft Auto video game release. The night comes with a brand new, “never-before-seen” Vice jersey that the entire team will wear for the game— along with an unveiling of a new court theme.
Rockstar’s upcoming GTA 6 takes place in Miami as the main geographical setting of the game.
However, this won’t be the only headline of this matchup on the schedule. It will also be the first official regular season home return for Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware and Kasparas Jakucionis as part of the trade package in their Giannis Antetokounmpo blockbuster earlier in the summer. For Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis, it will be the first time they face their former teams as well.

It’s going to be strange the first time Miami plays the Bucks. It will be interesting to see how much the Heat has improved since last season and how well the team’s former players are doing in their new home. I wish them all the best of luck (except when they play Miami).
I believe Ware and Jakucionis have high ceilings. I see Herro ending up in a city that needs more offense, like Detroit and Jaquez eventually ending up back home on the west coast (Lakers, Clippers or Golden State).
Note: Bam is the “Last of the Mohicans” from the 2020 “Bubble” team and.one of only three players (and only starter) remaining from the 2023 Finals team. If nothing else, this transition has confirmed that the NBA is a business first and that everyone is expendable.
The other two players left from 2022-2023 are Jovic and Smith. See names of players no longer with the team. https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/MIA/2023.html
