It hasn’t always been the prettiest of times for the Miami Heat, who had a pretty rocky year in 2025 and are currently 18-15 in the East. As we recap the end of 2025, who were their best players over the course of the calendar year?! Let’s examine!
5. Davion Mitchell
2025 stats (67 games, including postseason): 10.3 PTS, 6.4 AST, 1.2 STL, 50.5 FG%, 42.4 3P%, 59.5 TS%
Skinny: I was bullish on Mitchell’s fit when they first acquired him in the Jimmy Butler blockbuster. His tough, relentless, energetic demeanor made him a quintessential Miami Heat player. He hasn’t been as aggressive this year as he was in 2024-25, but he’s shown to be an incredibly important focal point of this team.
4. Kel’el Ware
2025 stats (88 G, including post.): 11.3 PTS, 9.3 REB, 1.2 BLK, 55.8 FG%, 38.4 3P%, 62.7 TS%
Skinny: Ware’s had his ups and downs, but the 7-footer has been terrific for most of the last month or so, buoying his case. It’s not just the numbers — it’s the impact. There are nights where he puts up numbers where he floats; that hasn’t been the case this season. It’s clear that the arrow is pointing upwards for the 21-year-old — should he consistently impact the game on both ends of the floor.
3. Norman Powell
2025 stats (including postseason): 23.8 PTS, 4.0 REB, 1.3 STL, 47.9 FG%, 39.8
Skinny: While I have my concerns about Powell’s defense — moreso than I did upon Miami acquiring him — the 32-year-old has been, far and away, the Heat’s best offensive player through their most potent offensive start ever. He’s also been one of their most efficient, too. I heavily considered putting him above Herro, but I couldn’t do that in good conscience after just 28 games.
2. Tyler Herro
2025 stats (59 G, including post.): 23.7 PTS, 4.9 REB, 5.2 AST, 47.4 FG%, 35.5 3P%,
Skinny: Yes, I can’t get the playoffs out of my head; the playoffs tell, and Herro was catastrophically bad. I wrestled with this one. Though Herro made his first All-Star team was the team’s best offensive player last season. I couldn’t drop him lower than No. 2, in good faith.
1. Bam Adebayo
2025 stats (including postseason): 18.6 PTS, 9.6 REB, 1.1 STL, 48.9 FG%, 35.5 3PT%, 56.8 TS%
Skinny: Adebayo is still the backbone of this franchise’s success, especially defensively. And he played like it, even though his impact oftentimes goes unnoticed. He was their best player the second half of last season and their best all-around to begin 2025-26 before his foot injury, which has played into this most recent slump.
