In the Miami Heat’s previous game, they secured the greatest win of the entire 2025-26 season against the reigning champion OKC Thunder at home. They are the only team in the league that has defeated both number one seed’s in each conference, as Miami upset the Detroit Pistons nearly two weeks prior.

Now they will look to build on that legitimate statement win going into their five-game West Coast road trip— starting with a matchup versus Jimmy Butler’s Golden State Warriors.

The Heat come into the game sporting a 22-20 record, as 24-19 Golden State has hit a stride as of late. They have won seven of their last 10 games and coming off a 20-point blowout victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Butler has been a key piece to the Warriors’ since his trade departure from Miami a year ago. Over the past six games, he is averaging 23 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals on elite efficiency of 54% shooting.

However, the Warriors have yet to beat the Heat since Butler arrived (0-2). Miami blew out Golden State earlier this season in a game that all three of Butler, Steph Curry and Draymond Green were sidelined due to injury. Tyler Herro, who also sat out in that game, will not be available for this second and final Warriors matchup.

Herro did not make the road trip with the Heat yet and is now dealing with both a rib and that lingering toe contusion in what has been an injury plagued campaign for the 2024 All-Star.

Can Miami start their road trip off with another win against Butler? Let us know in the comments!
