Herro missed the blockout…not Ware . But Ware no doubt still should’ve made a better effort on the play. The guy still has motor issues….heck I’m seeing guys in these college games play with much more intensity than him.
Miami is in 9th place now, one game up on 10th place Charlotte. Atlanta and Charlotte are both putting it all together at the right time. They both have made some good draft choices and trades. They are young and athletic with high ceilings. Maybe where Detroit was last year.
If Riley doesn’t make some shrewd decisions this summer, the team may find itself in the lottery in the foreseeable future.
I am enjoying watching the young players develop. Miami is in a position to start a soft rebuild this summer and begin the process of building a contending team. Another season of settling for mediocrity just won’t cut it. Enough is enough.
The games coming up are real tough ones. It’s now a little more likely we end up in the play-in than 5 or 6 seed..But, the Heat still have a fighting chance. A lot of players gave a great effort and played really well last night. One player who deserves a shout out is Fonzi, who has been doing well for awhile now.
Yup. I’m proud of the guys for not giving up. I hope we get to see the team at full strength by the postseason. Who knows, they might surprise a few folks while also raising the trade values of some of the players. I’m hopeful the Heat will be in for a very fruitful summer (God willing and if the creek don’t rise).
Bam and Herro had their chances in crunch time. Unfortunately, neither is a closer. With a closer there is probably at least a ten game swing (5 more wins and 5 less losses). Bam played 45 minutes and Ware played 5.
Acquiring a closer (or 2) should be priority #1 this offseason.
when tyler is fresh nobody can guard him he will score on anybody,his side to side stop and start first step is elite hes that good.unfort as the game wears on those legs get little tired andhe lacks the explosion he had in first period.the new and improved bam im not sure he cant close with him its more mental,weve never seen this type of bam offensively before he was always just pretty much great defender and lob dunker hes got to realize hes the man so verdict might be still out on bam.as a closer.but if bam is your best player thats a problem

amen thompson cant shoot the friggin ball 22% on 3s career he can jump thru the roof.keshad can shoot and can jump thru the roof.everytime hes played extended minutes which is not much hes looked like he belongs.every time niko plays he sucks but this org paid him and dumbot plays him over kj a real scratcher

Pelle gambled at the end to double Durant and was late getting there. It put him out of position to box out his man on the play–Thompson.
Ware did his job sealing Seguin and was a little off balanced from the effort and Thompson slipped behind him.
It wasn’t effort on Ware’s part.
On the replay Ware gets pushed by Sengun and turns around 360. Happens a lot where he gets turned around and out of position for the rebound. Herro should have not been standing there ball watching though and checked Thompson
Ware is also last on the team in on-off DREB%, when he is on the court the Heat rebound literally worse than when any other of the 14 players are on. That last play was an example

Team in desperate need of a super star to pair with Bam. Plenty of role players, but just not anyone you can trust to win late, when you need a bucket.

I mean maybe I’m in the minority, but none of those guys are going to win 1 on 1, when the Heat stand around for long stretches.
During the rockets run in the fourth, everyone was just hovering around the 3 point line, and Gardner seemed to be the only one who would attempt to drive. That’s not a winning strategy.

There is just zero chance this team can win a series in the playoffs.
They don’t have a player who they can get reliable baskets from.
Hopefully our sleeping front office will recognize that in the off season, but I doubt it.
