Miami Heat basketball is officially back! The Heat will take on the Orlando Magic Wednesday night inside Kia Center at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Both teams enter the new season on (slightly) opposite ends of the spectrum. Coming off a beleaguered 41-41 campaign, the Magic acquired guard Desmond Bane in a June blockbuster and is expected to be one of the best teams in the East in 2025-26. The Heat, on the other hand, are still trying to find their identity in their first full season without Jimmy Butler.
The Magic will also be getting Jalen Suggs (knee) back from injury after missing nearly eight months. Miami will be without Tyler Herro ahead of Wednesday’s opener, as well as Kasparas Jakucionis. There’s no question that this will be a tough test for the Heat.

GAME THREAD: Heat open 2025-26 season on road against Magic
… there fixed it lol
Sorry about that, thanks. It’s up!
Maybe I’m over optimistic at the start of the season but this game could be close, and we do have a chance. And maybe I am underestimating the Magic, but they don’t seem as good as some pundits say.
I hope the game won’t look as bad as everything looks right now.
no ware gonna get destroyed on the boards .would have to shoot lights out to have a chance for a w
We’re Goldin for a few minutes. Lol FML
adam silver agrees
I expect this could turn in to a double digit loss with no Ware or Herro. No Kaspar, so robbed of seeing if he gets in the game. It will be nice to have real NBA games and see if we don’t get lucky and pull one out of our @$$. Go HEAT!
