spos use of personnel all a coach really does that matters by .not playing ware especially last 5 mins while getting killed on boards right in front of his eyes cost us game no doubt about it .jjj def better all round player than jovic.jovic is a spot up shooter thats it .hes a turnover machine going to rim .powell almost by himself cancels out the loss of jimmy.very impressive player..dav missed about 3 wide open 3 s but besides that was electric.fonzis game looks polished his d gonna be an issue though sun.
Dude, bottom line is Magic (and other teams) have closers, like quitter was in 2023 playoffs and before. The Heat need one more legitimate closer without giving away the store.

We could have won this game. But a lot of good happened as this is a better Magic team and we gave them all they could handle.
We now know Davion was for real and is a solid player. Powell and Wiggins and Bam are good players too. And maybe Ware will become one. This team is close. We need one more quality starter. Maybe it’s Ty. I’m sorry to say but it’s not likely Nico. Nico could be a quality rotation guy though. And now we know Jaime belongs in the rotation too. And Simone. I’d try Rozier too.
Really agree here. Needed more from Jovic, but yes, he can definitely be a decent rotation player. Only negative really was Pelle. And I’ve been consistently saying that Ware should play 30 minutes. But a lot of encouraging stuff.

jovics been the player hes been and is gonna be good moments and bad moments. he over dribbles to try to get to the hoop and gets stripped alot.he s got nice form on his j i think hes a good 3 pt guy.40%.but he should stop trying to drive to the hoop unless hes got a small guard on him
You said the same type of shit about Jaquez, and similar negativity about Mitchell. Now you’re in love with them. Jovic is on a rookie contract and when the extension kicks in, he’ll be getting a salary commensurate with a decent rotation player. He may never be an all star and that’s okay.

Felt like he passed the eye test, but the results continue to be damning.
Perhaps too small a sample size as it’s affected by how everyone else plays when Wiggins in. I thought he played well.

I think it can be a deceptive statistic. However, if a player always has a minus +/- , it has to be looked at to figure out why.

In addition to my previous comment below, again I’ll say, in every sport, at least 90% or more of the time, if you don’t have some elite players, odds are you’re not going to win a championship. It wouldn’t matter if you were Lombardi, Bryant, Bowman, or Ferguson.
I have followed sports for a very very long time – baseball, football, basketball. Coaching is important in all of them. The difference is basketball is quicker than the other sports, similar to hockey where you can have the same argument. In football, there is a gap after every play, allowing obvious signal calling from the sidelines. Basketball coaches are constantly calling plays with hand signals. And the coaching is important in training and practice sessions in preparation of each game. If you don’t understand that, you are the one that’s missing something.

This team does seem to be a little more competitive than last year. The additions of Mitchell, Wiggins and Powell are better than having Jimmy. And younger.
