Well, that was bad in any possible way. Final run shouldn’t mask the fact, that this was bad performance from several players and especially from Spo. The current rotation is not right.

Heat needs another big started. Since Jovic is unplayable right now, Ware is the only option. Powell Herro and Wiggins probably must start , which makes Mitchell the odd man out.

Even second unit rotation t was bad and strange.

Jovic totally lost it. There will be troubles to get something out of him any time soon. I was thinking he will put his s**t together, but I m now with Sunman.. Big minutes in G-league would help him.

No need to overreact after one loss. It is our coaching staff job to analyse why we lost and make adjustments. My observation (not only from this game) is that we have problems if teams play physical defense against us and if they are taller or stronger. That’s why we struggled against Orlando, Cleveland, Knicks, Nuggets. And such games really expose how much it hurts us that we have only two servicable bigs. We got bullied by Stewart and Reed. And unfortunately nobody could guard Cade.
But our comeback was immpressive and a win was within reach. It is an evidence of how much this team has improved. Even when we play bad, we are able to win and only really good teams can do that.
But it is obvious that other teams are adjusting to our new offense and we have to continue improving and work harder to continue winning.

Great comeback! If Jaquez plays they win. Hopefully the film tells Spo and team everything they need to know and need to fix. Jovic needs to be sent to Sioux Falls yesterday!

If Niko doesn’t get his Terry Rozier on, maybe that run ends in a W? Impressive fight either way.

We put our best players in and we almost came back. If we learn from this it will be worth it. You can’t play too many mediocre players when you’re playing one of the best teams in the league. Ty may have figured something out tonite as he improved as the game went on.,But, Powell, Bam, Wiggy, Davion, Ware, all played well, and Dru did good in his time in. If we learn how this team plays against the better teams and use our players accordingly, also throwing Jaimie in as our seventh man, we can optimize our talent.

You’re a big Tyler fan we can tell. He’s constantly picked on by better players and should be a 6th man for another team not here anymore

Bout30man

I like Ty as a sixth man. Against some teams he’s as good an offensive player as we have. But, the better and more physical the team, the more his limitations become apparent. He is better off playing against second teamers. Using him, Jaime, Ware and Dru gives us a competitive team that uses its talents optimally. We need a backup behind Wiggins. It can’t be Niko, or Keshad, it should come from outside the organization. I’ve been saying this pretty much all along although I hoped that Ty, Niko, and Keshad would be able to play bigger roles and after seeing how they did, came to the same conclusions I originally thought.
Everyone else on the team I’m very happy with how they play and how they are used. That includes Bam, Norm, Davion, Andrew, Dru, Ware, Jaimie, Pelle, and even Simone.
BTW, we like to think we won the Duncan trade, but it was more even than we like to admit. Dunc was good last night, but he won’t always be. And Simone will get his chance again and will have his moments.

No, just realistic. We are getting our butts outplayed. I’m still happy with the way this team has performed but tonite our limitations showed. Doesn’t mean we suck, just that probably we aren’t as good as we hoped. Not all criticism is unfounded and sometimes things can be inferred from single games. Duren isn’t even playing. And it’s much more our defense tonite than our offense. Furthermore, some Heat players are playing very well, just that some others are not.

Realistic is that sometimes decent teams have bad games. Realistic is that I never considered this team to be a contender unlike other people who get overstimulated after a couple of good games. Realistic is we have a better team with better chances than last season, and that’s what I was hoping for.

You are the reality man. And I appreciate how smart your observations are. I am still adjusting mine a little as we go. I always hope we have enough and everyone can fill their roles and we don’t have to make any trades. But, I am with you on all your comments, and really have been. Last nights game just clarified and reiterated where we stand. All I want is that we learn from these games that show us our best way forward. We are a good team, better than last year. We are a B level team now, not a C anymore, but not an A either.

We agree on a great deal of things. The team has deficiencies. The need for a serviceable backup pf/c. Jovic hurting the team right now. Determining soon if there is appropriate chemistry between Herro and Powell and, if not, playing one off the bench (Herro being the better choice). There is no question that changes are needed to reach another level. The good news is that they have developed 12 players who have varying levels of value. The only 2 who don’t at this point are Jovic and Rozier (it must be determined if his contract, at least, is tradable). A few are keepers.

Jovic has shown much of what I said. His ball handling just isn’t nba level. And the other thing is what is happening with Ty. This is the Ty tonite that some of us remembered with concern. He can wilt against the really good teams.,

Niko’s young, but that contract looks worse by the day.

Also his regression needs to be study. Can’t seemingly do anything on the court right now. Can’t pass. Can’t drive. Can’t shoot. Never could play defense.

Maybe Spo killed is confidence, but probably time to try and find someone to take his contract hoping he has upside, before it becomes completely unmovable.

Gotta say since Herro’s return, the offense looks completely different. Not blaming Herro, Detroit’s legitimately good, Chicago is solid and Mavs have a solid defense. But it’s definitely slowed Miami down.

If they (Herro/Powell) are not effective together, they should be staggered. As many of us have felt, Herro would be better coming off the bench.
