I would start Jaime at PG and have Herro come off the bench with Mitchell, Larsson, Ware and ? He could have his own stage against second teams, score points and raise his extension and trade values. Win/Win situation.

If I didn’t know better, I would think Jaquez is a PG. He has a knack for finding the open man. 8 assists tonight. Herro reverted to iso ball in second half. His assists/playmaking are down this year. One game at a time. Celtics next then OKC followed by 5 game western road trip.
Next game is midway point. If Heat win it projects to 44-38 season. If they lose, it projects to 42-40. Probably good for 7th/8th place. That’s assuming Riley doesn’t pull off a trade or two, one way or another.

Beat a good team, but that 17 point lead disappeared too fast.
I put Zion and Morant in the same category (Injury prone, prima donnas with excess baggage. I just threw Zion out there for the hell of it.
Things change. They are now talking about standing pat with their starters but may be shopping Dejounte Murray, Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey, Jose Alvarado and Kevon Looney.
Depending on how Herro is playing by the trade deadline, if Herro is to be traded, I would take Murray any day over Morant. He is recovering from Achilles surgery and is expected back next month. His 2026-2027 salary is $32.8M (with a $30.8M option in 2027-2028). Herro’s salary in 2026-2027 is $33.0M, when his contract expires.

I was thinking the same thing. Trade Herro, Fontecchio and pick for Zion. Put him at SF. Trade Rozen for Jurkic and Wiggins for DeRozan.
