The Miami Heat cap off their three-game California Classic stint against the Golden State Warriors gold squad Monday inside Chase Center.
After a one-point on Friday, Miami lost in the sudden death double overtime to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, 93-91. Ryan Conwell had 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting, though he pulled down a team-high seven rebounds with three assists. Trevor Keels also had 16 points in the losing effort.
Behind first-round rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, the Warriors’ Gold squad is unbeaten through two games with a pair of 32- and 29-point wins, respectively. Lendeborg will not be suiting up on Monday so will Miami cool them off? Let us know your thoughts in our gamethread below!

I recently looked up the numbers comparing him to Beal or Middleton, and they’re not close. DeRozan is the only one that doesn’t have one foot out the door of the league
I hope we sign him, but I don’t see that big of a gap, especially with regards to Beal, who is a better 3 point shooter.
last year Brad Beal played 6 games and averaged 8 ppg
last year Khris Middleton played 50 games and averaged 10 ppg
last year DeMar DeRozan played 77 games and averaged 18.5 ppg
We can quibble about their skills or their careers, but all three are old dudes that are getting close to washed. DeMar seems like the only one that isn’t washed already
Beal, except for last season, didn’t average less than 17 points in a dozen previous seasons, and usually averaged more than that.He’s a few years younger too. Any of them would be fine with me.
Heat should try to sign both. They fill two entirely different needs. Beal can start at PG or SG and DeRozan can come off the bench as SG, SF or PF (in a pinch). DeRozan is one of the NBA’s best clutch scorers in crunch time over the past 10 years.
I wouldn’t be mad if the Heat signed both. But I’d be happy with either one. Looks like Middleton is off the market
Either one if they sign LeBron. Both if they don’t.
I think the most likely LeBron teams are the Cavs or the Warriors.
Heat are on the outside looking in, with the Sixers or Nuggets or whatever. Non-zero chance, but not likely

Get DeRozan and it will become time for LeBron to s**t or get off the pot. After that, let the chips fall where they may.
Give DeRozan the $5 you have saved for Bron and then tell Bron you said it wasn’t about the money. lol
If LeBron intends to play for Miami, he would want to tell the Heat asap so they could go after the best free agents available to strengthen the team.
If he doesn’t intend to sign with Miami and has animosity towards Riley and/ or Spo, what better way to sabotage the team than to drag his decision out until all the good free agents have signed elsewhere?
If you see the Warriors and/or Cavs picking up players this week that Miami passes on and LeBron ultimately signs with one of them, then you’ll know.
There is absolutely no reason for Miami to wait for James’ decision if doing so ends up preventing the Heat from signing quality players such as DeRozan, Beal or others?
The time is now for James and Miami to s**t or get off the pot!
None of the teams have made moves. You could also say one of those teams making moves means they know he’s not going there, so why save money and a roster spot.

I ask again – what player for has signed for effectively league minimum has Miami missed out on? Beal? Middleton? Derozen? All unsigned. Maybe all these guys are looking for more than the vet minimum anyway?
I don’t understand folks being mad at LeBron. He doesn’t have a gun to Pat’s head. Pat is free to sign whoever he wants. Players we’ve seen as targets, aren’t signing elsewhere. LeBron is making you wait and may end up on another team. I don’t get the venom.

LeBron is playing someone. We should find out soon if it is Riley. If it isn’t, no harm no foul. If it is, I hope it doesn’t prevent Heat from picking up a couple of needed veterans. Miami still doesn’t have a solid rotation.
I mean if you have 7 job offers, do you not negotiate for the best circumstances for you and your family? If Riley’s changed his plans to just wait out LeBron, it’ll be Riley we should be mad at, not LeBron. Just my opinion.

Working with good and experienced team, not too much responsibilities , a lot of golf and other thing which makes life good, and a decent amount of money, just to show respect, because its not that he needs more of that.
But yes, some never have enough, and money can play a big role in the decision.
If you have seven job offers you would absolutely weigh them, but it would not take weeks to figure out which is the best one even if you spoke with virtually every family member you had. One week, perhaps 10 days, that would be reasonable. Before you put in your applications for those jobs, you already would’ve had an idea about what you were looking for. I’m sure a lot of us have switched jobs in our lives, and if i got an offer , I would take between one and a maximum of four days to make a decision.
I certainly agree in part with what you are saying. LeBron has a right to handle his affairs any way he chooses. I think stretching out this decision unnecessarily is due to his ego and very possibly the documentary that he is putting together that he will sell for a lot of money to HBO or some other network. My concern, as you point out, is with Riley, not LeBron. While players we can use have not yet been offered contracts elsewhere, there is a good chance that if we take too long, they will go elsewhere. I think Riley should use the bird in the hand approach to ensure the team gets one or two players that will enhance the possibility of contending as opposed to losing out on those players in addition to losing out on LeBron.

Conwell better overall game tonight with 26/5/4 good percentages.
I think the dark horses this year will be Conwell, Gardner and Jovic. Just need one of them to be a solid everyday rotation player. If two of them blossom, Riley may be pulling off another trade or two by the deadline.

Me too. I’d prefer Beal or DeRozan over Middleton.
I would prefer Middleton, but we need a center and a guard. From those three Beal fits the needs the most and can compete with starting position with Hardaway.
But don’t like him. I would be happier to find other solutions then one of those three.
