The Miami Heat continue their West Coast road trip tonight with a visit to the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center, looking to build on Wednesday night’s thrilling victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Miami enters the matchup at 3-5 after escaping with a dramatic 117-116 victory over the Clippers, thanks to a game-winning three-pointer from Klay Thompson. The former Warriors star finished with 30 points, delivering his best performance of the season at just the right time.
Now Thompson returns to the building where he helped Golden State win four NBA championships, adding another interesting chapter to tonight’s matchup. Andrew Wiggins will also face his former team after playing an important role in the Warriors’ 2022 championship run.
The Heat will have their work cut out for them, however.
Golden State enters the game at 5-3 and riding a five-game winning streak, with Stephen Curry continuing to lead the way. The Warriors have been particularly dangerous from beyond the arc, presenting another challenge for Miami’s inconsistent defense.
Making matters more difficult, the Heat are playing on the second night of a back-to-back after an overtime battle against the Clippers, while the Warriors have enjoyed two days of rest.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is available despite dealing with a wrist injury, giving Miami another opportunity to develop its chemistry around the two-time MVP and Bam Adebayo.
Can the Heat overcome tired legs, slow down Curry and make it two straight victories in California?

Wiggins, Portis, and Hardaway a combined 1-10. Fugly
They’re lucky Steph was ice cold in the first half. If he stays cold, Miami has a chance
Not pretty, but even at the half. Not bad against a solid team on our back to back. Of course, we’ve seen some second half disasters. Hopefully not tonight.
