Giannis to Miami has made shockwaves throughout national media

The Miami Heat’s Giannis Antetokounmpo blockbuster broke the internet on the eve of NBA Draft day.

The word to describe it? Relevant.

That’s what Antetokounmpo’s arrival in South Beach has made the Heat franchise. After years of mediocrity, Giannis has injected new life into the organization. It took only a year and a half for Miami to bounce back from Jimmy Butler’s departure. Just a couple of months ago, the team failed to even make it out of the play-in. Now? Instant contenders overnight just like that.

Hopefully it means the team is not using the pick to unload Jovic. If the team wants to save money long term, they can trade Jovic for Klay straight up. The salaries are about the same and Klay is on an expiring deal.

Trading for Klay might be possible, if Jovic plays well on the Serbian FIFA World Cup team this summer, alongside Jokic. However, if he does that, Miami may receive better offers or decide to keep him.
